City Hotel Happiness with everything
This is a magnificent hotel perfectly located in the city. All staff were faultless. The room was well designed. The Bathroom was wonderful with places to put your things. Everything was well thought out. The Grand Club was a wonderful experience. A lovely touch was a little birthday cake for my husband's birthday. Loved the coffee machine as I hate instant. Would definitely stay again and recommend highly.

Best breakfast buffet I’ve seen
Absolutely loved our stay! The buffet breakfast was amazing, they had a proper cot for my 9 month old daughter so she didn’t have to go into an uncomfortable portacot, location was great and staff where so friendly and helpful

Great location but some missing details of a 5 star hotel
The Grand Hyatt is situated perfectly in the city, with easy access by foot to sports and entertainment stadiums like the MCG and Rod Laver, shopping and restaurants. Our stay could have benefited from the addition of the finer details expected of a 5 star hotel: 1. Missing greeting with name on the room TV 2. Half or nearly empty toiletry bottles in the room bathroom 3. Slow room service - it took 2 phone calls and about 30min to have a bucket of ice delivered The good parts were: 1. Adequately heated indoor pool 2. Good food at Collins Kitchen 3. Polite staff 4. Comfy bed linen, bed and pillows It would also have been great if there was additional details about the view from the room on booking sites. I booked the mid tier room which was on a high level and I expected views of the MCG and surroundings, however, our view was to the far right of the MCG.

Have stayed here multiple times...and each time is a treat. The rooms are comfortable and the staff cheerful and helpful
