Beautiful hotel...but if quoted a rate in USD, pay in USD...otherwise the hotel, not your credit card, charges a premium conversion rate JUST TO PAY IN THE LOCAL CURRENCY. You would think the hotel is profitable enough that they dont have to charge a premium commission just to charge you in the local currency.

The hotel location is perfect for shopping / walking / restaurants I had stayed over 30 years ago at same location and what a difference ….👎 The hotel has done renovations and refurbishing … Rooms could be thought up better …the experience room/ bathroom / shower / sink and closet are disposed in a weird way … its restaurants are nice and pleasant Can’t say same about the staff in general We are a large family group (over 10 people ) Housekeeping is erratic (if any at all …2 of my siblings in 2 different days didn’t have service ) And when service would come every day something was missing in room …either towels …or mineral water (as you may know it’s not recommended to drink tap water in mexico ) Club lounge staff is either under trained or under staffed They are always in bad mood and non collaborative with its guests that is when they are not straight CONFRONTATIONAL when asked about certain service at lounge (happy hour time ) Concierge is border line useless And the request to speak to a manager went unanswered for 5 days Although they send you a WhatsApp asking to rate their service the staff answers and says yes certainly someone will contact you (get a comfortable chair waiting ) Other than that we had a great time in family celebrations

Horrible experience. The place is mismanaged. Staff are not responsive and lazy. Try to take the elevator to a high floor and staff constantly use guest elevators to move around so you end up stoping 3-5 times per trip for staff only. Use the service elevator! Rooms are tired. Service is hit and miss. Very inconsistent. Complained about an issue and there was no response in two days. Called the front desk 5 times and they did not pick up. Lounge staff are not trained and act like they are doing you a favor if you ask for a tea. I have stayed at intercons everywhere. This is by far the worst property and management.

Our company has been dealing since late August with an incident involving erroneous bank charges made by this establishment, which unfortunately remain unresolved despite numerous efforts and communications. The experience has been disappointing due to the lack of professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving capacity shown by the hotel’s staff. We are particularly concerned about how customers’ banking details are managed and the absence of an effective response to unauthorized or duplicate charges. Regrettably, and given the lack of a satisfactory solution from the establishment, we believe our only remaining option will be to file a criminal complaint with the competent authorities. We strongly advise future guests to exercise extreme caution when providing payment information and to carefully verify any charges related to their stay. Nuestra empresa mantiene desde finales de agosto una incidencia con este establecimiento relacionada con cargos bancarios erróneos que, lamentablemente, continúan sin resolverse pese a numerosas gestiones y comunicaciones. La experiencia ha sido decepcionante por la falta de profesionalidad, empatía y capacidad resolutiva demostradas por el personal del hotel. Nos preocupa especialmente la gestión de los datos bancarios de los clientes y la ausencia de respuesta efectiva ante cobros indebidos. Lamentándolo mucho, y ante la falta de una solución satisfactoria por parte del establecimiento, consideramos que nuestra única alternativa será presentar una denuncia penal ante las autoridades competentes. Aconsejamos a futuros huéspedes actuar con máxima cautela al facilitar sus datos de pago y verificar detenidamente cualquier cargo asociado a su estancia.

Am writing this from the lobby. They aren't honoring a reservation and want to do me a favor by booking at a rate 4x higher.
