Good hotel

Good hotel. Good location. Downtown and brickell are walking distance. The staff is good. Welcoming and warm. The breakfast is good. The pool is good. The renovated rooms are good. In room food is decent. The executive lounge is bad. Rest everything is good.

The best customer service EVER

The service at this hotel is out of this world! We ended up in Miami when plans with friends in Orlando area changed. We did not do any planning and had never stayed in Miami before this trip, (except for a couple airport hotel overnight stays). We arrived and were checked in by Hannah, who was kind enough to upgrade our room to include concierge level. We thoroughly enjoyed the incredible breakfasts in the concierge lounge. It was there that we met Luisa, who gave us so many ideas of what to do (and where to see manatees). She spent so much time showing us locations on a map, telling us about the fun trolley cars and recommending Little Havana. Although, we didn’t see the manatees this time, we plan to come back! And finally, I must mention the 2 gentlemen at the front desk (Brandon and Gilber) who not only gave us a late checkout, they sent us a lovely gift of chocolate-covered strawberries AND champagne! This is the last stop for us on a 3 month around-the world trip and we have stayed in some top notch hotels…and we are so blown away by the staff at this hotel. I plan to send a letter to the Marriott headquarters to express our gratitude. Thank you Hannah, Luisa, Brandon and Gilber! You made our stay memorable! Oh…and the room was simply lovely too!

Superior Service

Great service from the time the door was opened for us. We needed to check in several hours early and the front desk were accommodating and super helpful. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had an ocean view room and lovely stay.

Good food, great indoor basketball court, clean pool and friendly staff. Highly recommended for couples and or family and definitely hit up the indoor bowling and arcade. Overall truly clean hotel with excellent room service serving actually hot food

Amazing concierge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We had never been to Miami before and chose this hotel for a short pre-cruise stay because it was near some restaurants we wanted to try and Boulud Sud is in the hotel itself. The hotel itself is perfectly good but not exceptional - I wasn't impressed with the breakfast - it was buffet only and they couldn't do eggs to order. Boulud Sud was a disappointment too. The hotel gave us a leaflet showing a discount but staff in the restaurant said that we were mistaken and there were no discounts - I had to go upstairs to the room to bring the flyer down and only then did they grudgingly apply the discount. Also, when a British person asks for vinegar to put on their fries, they really don't want balsamic! But Andres Meneses, the chief concierge, was another matter altogether! He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. There was an event in downtown Miami during our stay that meant some roads were closed and the downtown area was very busy. He helped us with taxis and arranged a trip to the Everglades. He gave us his cell phone number and gave us directions over the phone when we got lost! And, crucially, he made sure we didn't miss our cruise - arranging a minivan to take us to the cruise depot in plenty of time despite all the road closures. I understand it is normally a 15 minute ride but it took us 50 minutes. I really can't praise him highly enough - he's the reason I've given the hotel an 'excellent' rating, rather than a 'very good'.
