Hugely disappointing
I rarely write negative reviews but in this occasion, but this hotel certainly deserves one. It was a huge disappointment. The situation of this hotel is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the Duomo but that is where the positive points end. The staff are rude and offhand. We had asked for an early check but we're told our room wouldn't be ready for at least an hour and a half, to then be told by another, slightly more friendly receptionist, we could have an alternative room. When leaving we waited for 15 minutes for a porter to collect our bags, when none came ( and we had to meet our transport at 8 o'clock) my partner had to bring the 3 large suitcases down himself. We were told offhandedly, everyone is late, it's a holiday in Milan. The lady behind the bar was rude and dismissive too, she gave the impression she would much rather be somewhere else. The room, for the price point, was slightly shabby, the armchair was torn on the arms and the bathroom outdated. We ordered breakfast to the room as we needed to leave early, which was average to say the least, with packet crispbreads, no fresh bread or pastries. If you are staying in Milan, I would suggest an alternative hotel as this is sure to disappoint.

Highly recommend
Marvellous position next to the duomo. Large lounge/ bar with nice bar menu. Ate in the pizzeria, bar and had room service , the food was excellent on each occasion. Staff charming and helpful. Double room was adequate size with table and two chairs.

The Hotel kept expanding to be a Maze
First of, the location is the selling point here, we pay mostly for the location, I believe. It will just take you, at the most, 5 minutes to get to Duomo and the Galeria Vittorio, and another 15-20mins to Piazza Castello. The guest floors is a maze, but I was lucky not to have a room that will need to pass through stairs, as I was carrying one big suitcase. Come the 2nd day of a 3-day stay, I got the route memorized already from the elevator to my designated room. The room I stayed in was okay, the space was about the right size for the rate but I wished the thicker curtains did not take too much space. Bed and pillows were comfortable and made me want to extend my sleep. T&B Facilities was also great and clean, the rubber seal at the shower area did not let a lot of water leak out, it was good. Personal complaint is that the water closet is mounted a bit high for me. The Staff was very accommodating but not all are friendly, but I guess ordering IRD near 11pm gets me a frown, hahaha. Food was tasty, loved the Margherita. Also loved the interaction with the reception as they catered to a few of my requests – laundry service and a late check-out. Though not entirely the hotel’s fault, we kind of witnessed theft in the lobby, but the owner left her bag at the sofa to go to the reception… and you know what came next. Hope they resolved the issue. All in all, the location swayed my positive review. One thing I would recommend, for breakfast service, hope they can shake up the hot food selection every other day.

Disappointed
I booked this hotel for a special occasion, expecting a comfortable stay, but it turned out to be the worst experience I’ve had in Milan. I’ve stayed in many hotels in the city, but this one was by far the most disappointing. Every single day, the air conditioning and safety box were not working. The room felt unbearably dry, even though the weather outside was perfect. Opening the window wasn’t an option either, since there were no protective screens to keep insects or animals out. To make things worse, the hotel rations you to only two bottles of water per day—if you need more, be prepared to pay over €5 per bottle. In the heat, this is beyond ridiculous. If you want to ruin your trip to Milan, this is the place to stay. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Great hotel with great location. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive to our needs. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff to Concierge Fabio went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for it's excellent location and amazing customer service.
