As a Lifetime Member with Marriott, everyone knows a Westin is going to be reliable and consistent anywhere in the world. I booked The Westin Milan Palace not even thinking twice because I know I have never been let down by a Westin before. I hate to even write this review because the staff was lovely and friendly but the issues I had for my one week stay was disappointing at the least. My original rooms hotel didn't work, maintenance came and still it was blowing warm air. My best friend and I were there celebrating our 40th and 50th birthdays in Milan and booked a two twin size bed rooms. Based on the pictures on the website, it looked fine. When we got to the room the two twins were basically a King size bed separated with no space, not even 1mm in between. It was clearly false advertising in the website. I went downstairs and nicely mentioned that it was not what we booked and the front desk girl told us that in Europe this is how the two twins are unlike in America where rooms are bigger. That is simply not true at all. Look at the website and you can see there is at leas a few inches between the bed. As grown women, we decided to just book another room for her since the bed situation was a little uncomfortable. An expense we did not expect. They moved me into another room which the AC finally worked but that room's bathroom smelled like a sewer and I hadn't even used the bathroom yet! I sprayed room spray bought at a nearby DM store and lived with it the rest of the week. That wasn't even the worst part. There was construction going on day and night, from 5:30AM to midnight the sound of furniture moving was so loud and disrupted any sleep I could muster. I texted down to the front desk and they sent security up to my room and I was told there was no construction going on. My friend on another floor hear the same noises day and night. If there was no construction going on then this hotel might be HAUNTED because it was seriously day and night! The sound of chairs loudly being dragged from one room to another. I can go on about the other minor disruptions I experienced but I feel these issues above is enough for someone to reconsider staying at this hotel. I am sorry, Westin Palace but your hotel definitely needs some looking at and some help. The hotel’s response from from Alessandra Pagano the General Manager, perfectly mirrored the stay itself. Polished on the surface, disappointing in substance. As a Lifetime Marriott guest, I expected at least a symbolic effort to make things right and instead I received a beautifully worded generic "Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences". The insincerity of that email made me write this review.

The hotel is located in the city center, right next to the Old Town. The hotel's excellent location allows for easy exploration of the city on foot, by bike, by public transportation, by hotel taxi, and, thanks to the proximity of the Central Railway Station, also in the surrounding areas of Milan, both near and far. Excellent connections to Milan Bergamo Airport. The hotel staff is exceptionally hospitable, recognizing their guests and able to personalize each guest's expectations and meet their every need. In the restaurant, staff wear elegant uniforms, underlining the high standard. Employees wear elegant shoes, slippers rather than sneakers, which reflects the high class of this establishment. The restaurant offers a rich menu with Italian flavors. The staff is always on hand but not intrusive, serving with sensitivity. The Italian staff are everywhere, demonstrating their extensive experience and commitment to the brand, which is less evident in other hotels. The hotel offers a very intimate and safe atmosphere. The rooms are cozy and impeccably clean. The hotel offers evening room service for guests, which is a real plus when we return tired from the city in the evening and have our place ready for bed. We are, of course, aware of this quality and owe it to the entire staff, who are always attentive to their guests. We would like to thank Alessandra and Maria Wiktoria, the General Manager and Operations Manager, for making our stay here exceptional and personal.

Excellent location and courteous staff ensure comfortable accommodation. It’s located next to tram line with good connectivity. We walk around in the vicinity and enjoyed Christmas market. Rooms are excellent and cozy.

I just wanted to share my opinion about The Westin Palace in Milan, because we really loved our stay there. First of all, and maybe the most important thing — yes, you should definitely choose this hotel for your stay. Everything is really great there. The location is excellent: we arrived from Bergamo Airport to Milano Centrale railway station, and it is only about a 10-minute walk from the station to the hotel. It is also very close to many attractions in the city, and there is a metro station literally right next to the entrance, which is very convenient. For the check-in, I would like to especially thank Mr. Andrei. Unfortunately, we arrived quite early (around 10 a.m.), but he was very kind and helped us get our room earlier. He also explained everything about the hotel very clearly — thank you so much for that. The room was amazing — honestly, it felt more like a luxury boutique hotel than a typical Westin. The amenities were excellent, and the view was very nice. You can also feel the signature Westin fragrance everywhere, which creates a very pleasant atmosphere. And of course, Westin has the best mattresses, so you can be sure you will sleep very well. Breakfast was also very good. Mrs. Silvia, the restaurant supervisor, was extremely kind to us 😄. There were also two other ladies who worked during the last days of Christmas holiday and over the weekend — thank you very much for your warm and friendly service. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and to everyone who is going to visit Milan, because this place is absolutely worth it.
