Reviews for The Chambers Hotel

Lack of customer service

Front desk worker was not very friendly or communicative. She didn’t even say hi or welcome us. Just requested my ID. Upon leaving there was nothing to the tune of a thank you.

Nice location but no heat in room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Great location and beautiful lobby. My issue is there was not heat in my room and it did drop to 40s at night. I was visiting from out of state and was not used to the cooler weather and did not expect my room to feel like the temperature outside. Staff during night shift was reluctant to switch my room and when she did it seemed to pain her. Otherwise great location.

We couldn’t get into the building to check in, it’s great that it’s a secure building but there was no communication regarding check in and the host was on the phone for an extended period, then proceeded to complain about the customer on the phone for 30 minutes while checking us in. Additionally the room was much smaller than cheaper lower star hotels I’ve been to, and the heater didn’t work and there were no extra blankets. I will say the shower was awesome!

AVOID

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Don't book here! I booked with cancellation allowed and my plans changed. No way to cancel ... they say send email but don't reply. The only phone number is disconnected or something else is wrong (just goes to rapid busy signal). Maybe they are closed? Notice that all good reviews are "sponsored" (i.e., not worth anything) and all reviews that aren't sponsored are terrible. AVOID.

Rude hospitality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Today I was extremely disappointed with my experience at the Chambers hotel. Despite receiving booking a reservation that included a daily parking quote, I arrived to find that there was no parking available at the hotel, which was essential for my stay. The staff offered to relocate me to a different hotel that supposedly had parking. However, upon arrival at the new location, the staff were extremely unhelpful and refused to acknowledge the reservation that the Chambers hotel supposedly made on my behalf leaving me with no place to stay. Returning to the original hotel for assistance, I was informed that they had already canceled my reservation and could not help me further in a kurt manner.  It seemed that this decision came from the General Manager, Nicole Dutton, as she was involved in instructing the staff throughout this ordeal. This left me feeling intentionally neglected and stranded, forcing me to book another hotel at the last minute, resulting in significantly higher costs. Additionally, I found the behavior of the front desk associates, Brittany Williams and Neela Yang, to be particularly unwelcoming and unfriendly throughout this horrible experience. Their attitude was unprofessional for front desk staff, and I noticed Brittany Williams being flippant with another guest asking for simple directions. This was the weirdest experience with hospitality in my life. No accountability and no resolution. Overall, the lack of communication, organization, and professionalism from the staff, combined with the actions with Nicole Dutton involvement, was unacceptable and caused a great deal of frustration.
