This is a nice hotel. I am confused why this hotel has been designated as a luxury hotel. There’s nothing special, memorable or extraordinary about hotel Ivy. Room is nice - but standard. No slippers. No coffee maker in the room. Bathroom amenities nice, some of the bath towels had edges that had started to disintegrate. Toilet paper very thin. Servers at the bar great - very attentive and efficient.Breakfast was good. Dinner salad sounded better than tasted.

I recently had a three-night stay at the Hotel Ivy, the second Marriott Luxury Collection hotel at which I have stayed in recent years. I booked my first night at the property through the Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts program for a very reasonable cost, while I used a mix of free night certificates plus points for the final two nights. I was able to use one 35,000-point certificate toward one night, and a 40,000-point certificate toward the other night. At check-in, I was told that I received an upgraded room, which apparently referred to the fact that the room was located on a higher floor, since it was not a suite. The room itself was very good sized, as other photos on this site correctly depict. To use my $100 property credit, I ate dinner at Masa and Agave Mexican restaurant on the property. It was good but not great. I used up the rest of that credit toward room service breakfast the next morning, to cover the amount over the $30 per person Amex FHR breakfast credit. Perhaps thanks to my Titanium status, the hotel allowed me to remain in the same room for my final two nights there. I had breakfast in the lounge both mornings, using up (and slightly exceeding) my $20 Titanium breakfast credit each day. My stay in Minneapolis spanned Saturday through Tuesday. I attended a Twins baseball game on Sunday afternoon. Visiting Target Field was wonderful. It was about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the stadium from the hotel, but very easy to travel to and from on foot. Even during the week, downtown Minneapolis is a bit more desolate than east coast cities, but apparently the city is continuing to grow. And the food scene in Minneapolis definitely exceeded my expectations! The bed and room were generally great. The hotel apparently underwent a major renovation in 2024. The room had a good desk at which to work. The lighting was good. The bathroom had plenty of towel hooks and was spacious, including a tub. My only complaints concern the shower. The shower stall was very small, and the water temperature control in the shower was very slow to respond to changes in temperature from way too hot to a more reasonable degree of hot. If you are looking for a "luxury" minibar selection, this hotel does not disappoint. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant, and I would definitely consider staying here again, although I will be trying out the local Hyatt Centric on my next visit into town. The Ivy Hotel is located in a historic building. Hotel prices in Minneapolis tend to be very reasonable much of the time, causing even a Luxury Collection hotel to be reasonably priced.

I picked Hotel Ivy for a birthday celebration with my sister because it had the top ranked spa, and it was perfect! Every single person we met was welcoming and friendly. We used the fitness center, which is really large and has virtually all the equipment of an upscale health club, and the spa. We both had excellent massages and the spa facilities did not disappoint. We also had room service, which was delightful. I highly recommend Hotel Ivy for anyone staying in the twin cities.

I had high expectations for this hotel given it had "luxury" in the name. It was relatively small upon entry and I was surprised that the bar in the lobby looked permanently shut down. There also was not a small market or place to purchase water or snacks although that wasn't a dealbreaker. There are places within walking distance. The rooms were small which would be ok if they are clean, but it was not. While there was a lot of food available for purchase and expensive water, it wasn't anything appealing and there were no extras in the room. I just didn't see or experience anything luxury, and the price point for a night is comparatively high. The parking charges are high. The restaurant was average with the menu descriptions being largely more appealing than the food. Each time I tried to go to the gym, which was large, there was a different person hacking up a lung and blowing their nose into kleenex wads (no joke) while trying to run on the treadmill. I guess it was bad luck but I wasn't willing to get sick to get a workout in so I gave up. The folks at the desk and reception were very pleasant each time. The location was very good. I think it is misleading to have the word luxury in the name and charge such high prices for this very average hotel experience.

It was fantastic. The stuff was wonderful. It was beautiful and they gave us some complementary treats for my husband’s birthday. Will be back. Thank you I would definitely recommend this hotel! Such a quiet room, which is very important to us every time we stay somewhere
