Few hotels have a restaurant by Joël Robuchon, one of France’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs, but Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo has three. One of them is a collaboration with designer Karl Lagerfeld, who created a bespoke mythological mural to preside over the terrace pool club. Located in the heart of Monte-Carlo, Hôtel Métropole is surrounded by haute couture, legendary casinos (guests enjoy VIP, admission-free entrance to the Casino of Monte-Carlo) and the residences of royalty. The hotel itself enjoys a storied past: Pope Leo XIII once owned the property.

Excellent attentive staff and amenities! Comperable to my favorite hotel Burgenstock in Lucern, Switzerland. Request room 705 for a great balcany view of the Med and city! Restaurants on site are great! Enjoyed every day we stayed.

Overall it lives up to its reputation as one of the top luxury hotels in Monaco. The location is unbeatable, just steps from Casino Square and everything is walkable, which makes a huge difference. What really stands out is the level of service. The staff was attentive, personal, and genuinely made me feel taken care of rather than just another guest. Rooms are elegant, comfortable, and very well maintained, and the overall design feels classic but not dated. Food is another highlight. Having Michelin level dining on site is a big advantage, and even breakfast and casual options are done to a very high standard. Undeniably expensive but overall, if you’re looking for refined luxury, prime location, and excellent service, this is a top tier choice in Monte Carlo.

The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is a masterclass in personalized luxury. After years of staying at the major global brands like Waldorf Astoria and Park Hyatt, I found that the Metropole operates on a level of service and intimacy that those chains simply cannot match. Unrivaled Service The staff at the Metropole redefined 5-star service for me. They were proactive, responded to every request instantly (A big thumbs up to Josepine), and—most impressively—remembered my name throughout the stay. It felt like a warm, personalized welcome rather than a corporate transaction. It has certainly raised my standards for what a luxury hotel should be. The Heart of Monte Carlo The location is unbeatable. You are perfectly positioned for luxury shopping and just a 2-minute walk from the Casino Square. The hotel provides a "Lifestyle Card" that includes complimentary tickets for the Casino, which is a fantastic touch. The neighborhood is impeccably safe and highly walkable, with everything from the harbor to the Japanese Gardens just a short stroll away. A Gastronomic Landmark The dining here is world-class. With Michelin-starred restaurants on-site like the exceptional Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac and Yoshi, you don't even have to leave the property to have a world-class meal. The breakfast was equally impressive, and the overall ambiance of the bar and lobby is sophisticated yet inviting. The Suite Life My room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The design feels timeless and high-end, offering a quiet sanctuary right in the middle of the city's energy. Verdict If you are looking for the best of Monaco, this is it. The combination of its prime location, Michelin-starred culinary scene, and deeply personal service makes it my top recommendation for the Principality.
