The Oberoi, Mumbai

My three-nights at the Oberoi Mumbai Nariman Point easily ranks as one of my best three stays to date. First of all, the location is pretty ideal. It's right on Nariman point, which is beautiful and makes for a lovely morning (or evening) walk. It's also in walkable distance to a stop on the new Aqua metro line, Gateway of India and other areas of interest. The drive to/from the airport is not bad. As soon as my ride got to the ground floor lobby was luggage was handled; I was guided to the upper lobby where I was quickly checked-in and taken to my room. The check in procedures were quick, I was given a useful tour of my room (how to use the blinds and such), connected to help on WhatsApp and offered a butler to unpack my luggage, which was done within 15 minutes or so. The whole check-in process was seamless and very attentive, without being overbearing over-explaining all the hotel features. This set a new standard for how check-in should be, for me. I stayed in a recently renovated ocean-view suite and oh my god, it was so beautiful. I loved the contemporary design, the wooden floors and the comfortable furniture. The plant and flowers added a really nice touch to the room. This seems like a small thing, but I really appreciated always knowing what each switch was for, as they were all not just labelled, but actually engraved and had that really pleasant feel. The walk-in closet was very convenient. This room was so quiet and pleasant and the bed so heavenly, I found myself sleeping in way more than I typically do on the two mornings that I could. The pool is quite nice, too and I enjoyed being able to go to the Trident's pool next door as well. Finally, the food program is amazing. They have the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, with both an extensive a la carte menu and a lovely, high-quality buffet. Ziya was closed for renovations during my stay, but I enjoyed trying dishes from Ziya at the Fenix restaurant. I also had lunch at Vetro, their fine-dining Italian restaurant and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service really nice and attentive. I am looking forward to returning in the future!

Oberoi Hotel Mumbai is the favourite place for my family celebrations of birthdays and wedding anniversaries. We always notice a simple gentleman standing near the front office who is none other than the Vice President and the General Manager Mr. Amit Kaul warmly greeting and welcoming the guests to the hotel and assuring them of a pleasant and comfortable stay. We had booked an ocean facing suite which was very spacious and furnished very well. The Arabian sea view was particularly spectacular, especially in the morning and evening. To see waves of the sea was a great sight. We mostly had our breakfast and food at the Fenix restaurant which itself is incredibly popular for its delicious dishes and desserts. The in room dining service is very prompt and the butler and housekeeping staff were all very helpful and courteous and ever ready to serve you at any time. The calm atmosphere and elegant hospitality were so refreshing that we were rejuvenated during our stay at the hotel. We enjoyed the best of hospitality and have no hesitation in recommending guests to feel the pleasure of staying at the Oberoi Hotel Mumbai and you will certainly carry lifetime happy memories of your stay at the Oberoi Mumbai. The Oberoi is truly a gem, a service led hotel that never fails to impress. Everything was smooth and seamless, from the airport pickup to the in-room check-in. The staff made our arrival effortless and welcoming. A big thank you to all the staff. The breakfast team was exceptionally professional and attentive. Special thanks to Marina from housekeeping for taking such great care of our room and ensuring we had everything we needed. We’re especially grateful to her for going the extra mile and surprising us with some lovely Oberoi gifts, which were truly appreciated.
