The Taj Mahal Palace

I recently spent one night at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai along with my wife. We had been waiting with great anticipation for this experience, and it was nothing short of enchanting. Firstly, we encountered a time lag with check-in (nearly an hour, though we had given our ETA beforehand). Of course, we were worried about how the stay would be. But what unfolded next was a perfect reflection of the Taj spirit. Mr. Gaurav Gosain, the hotel director, personally apologized for the disruption and took us to a better room himself. His humility, graciousness, and customer-first mentality immediately changed our experience and the tone of the rest of our stay. During our stay at the Palace, the guest services were flawless: Gayatri at the Taj Lounge provided a friendly, personal service with her interesting chats. She also arranged for us to book the heritage tour as well as the e-carriage tour, which added an extra special touch to our experience. The Harbour Bar provided excellent drinks along with interesting stories, which made the night even more memorable. Mr. Perci, our heritage tour guide, led us through a magical time warp with engaging narratives and interesting trivia about the Palace. The icing on the cake was when Mr. Gaurav and his staff saw us off with warm words and with gratitude presents, and Gayatri charmed us with chocolates – an act that concluded our stay just so well. What started with a slight hiccup turned into a once-in-a-lifetime experience, reminding us all why Taj is such a legendary brand. Sincere thank you to Mr. Gaurav, Gayatri, Mr. Perci, and all of the Taj team for making our brief visit so special. We look forward to coming back. Wah Taj!

Hello, Our one-day stay at The Taj Mahal Palace, Colaba was an unforgettable experience. The Taj team went above and beyond by arranging a beautiful decoration for my daughter’s birthday. The entire staff was very sweet, attentive, and made us feel truly special. Brilliant hotel with great service, ambiance and overall pleasant surroundings. Only downside was as it’s old you can sometimes hear other guests and their doorbells, movements etc but that did not spoil my experience. Must do is the hotel Historian tour. You find out so much about the hotel. Very informative guided. Overall excellent place to stay
