The Taj Mahal Palace

Other than heritage, the hotel falls short. For the price I paid, I have had way better experiences at several ITC hotels for less. We simply did this for experience. Wouldn't be on my 'top 10 places to stay once more' in the future. How thoughtless to not have a railing for elderly people to navigate between the sections on floor 6. We stayed in rooms 628 and 629 and the only way to go between the elevator and the rooms was through the treacherous steps off the elevator. My elderly parents had to go up and down the carelessly crafted stairs with no side railing to hold on to. Knowing they were in their 80s we should have been put up in a room with better access. The buffet was subpar for the calibre. Perhaps a visit to ITC Gadenia in Bangalore may be worth a visit for your staff. The gym is sprawling but the treadmill needs tuning - the tread is raised instead of flat. Not appropriate for a brisk walk unless you want to stay in uphill mode. Tried 2 different ones and they were both treading uphill. I am a regular on treadmills so you cannot tell me differently - your treadmills need tuning. The rooms were basic - nothing special. Good enough for a 4 star. We have had way better. Goes to show - complacency is a real thing. Having customers visit you simply for branding will draw you one time visits - leaves you without a stickiness factor. Sigh. Disappointed.

All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. One thing I would like to request that please share the timeline event that usually happen every day like aarti , Tour , etc via mail or message so that we don't miss anything .

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Mumbai. You will feel like royalty from start to finish. Everyone is treated like a special guest. The rooms are large and so well attended to. Staff all around the hotel , in every capacity are friendly , kind , helpful and willing to go the extra mile. The location is perfect . One can take strolls around the hotel and access absolutely anything your heart desires. It will be very difficult for us to find this level of service and comfort again on future travels around the world.

Words cannot explain how lovely this hotels is the staff are so dedicated to the whole Taj experience and truly seem to love working there, it was such a pleasure to be wrapped up in this beautiful hotel with the history and class it exudes. The whole experience, the rooms, the food and drinks the pool area, the gym and then wonderful tour of the hotel were fabulous. If I am back in Mumbai I will return to this amazing hotel.
