Consider yourselves in good company when you check into the Taj Mahal Palace. With its fantasyscape of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles, this architectural marvel has welcomed Maharajas, kings and presidents since opening in 1903. Along with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, this spectacular Mumbai landmark boasts vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, hand-woven silk carpets and a magnificent art collection whose dazzling pieces range from Belgian chandeliers to Goan Christian artifacts.

We stayed here on the 8th March, 2026 and the experience was simply incredible. Even though we arrived early, our room was already ready and beautifully decorated as it was my friend’s birthday — such a thoughtful surprise! The Heritage Walk with Mr. Percy was an absolute highlight. His knowledge about the history of the palace made us feel so proud to be staying in a true heritage property of India. We also loved the complimentary yoga session, the buggy ride around the property, and the lovely wine bottle gifted to us — such amazing gestures that made our dream stay even more special. But the biggest surprise was when we returned to our room and found a framed photograph of us placed inside. It was such a beautiful and heartwarming touch. Thank you Taj for making this stay so memorable. Truly an experience we will cherish forever.

Staying at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was an incredible experience. The hotel perfectly blends historic elegance with modern luxury. My family and I stayed at the Taj for 3 nights in the first week of March, which, as per me, is the best time to visit Mumbai, as the afternoons are not very hot and create optimal weather to explore the city. We were picked up from the airport by Daryll, a very cheerful and knowledgeable gentleman, who showed us the various parts of Mumbai as we commuted from the airport to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly with Tulsi Malas and drinks. We had to wait for 1.5 hours to get the room allotted, which was honestly worth the wait. The room was very spacious and luxurious, an executive room, overlooking the streets of South Bombay. The food was top-notch, I had some of the best cuisines of my life at the Sea Lounge, Loya, Shamiana, Golden Dragon, Aquarius, and Taj Club, where we had access to evening high tea. We rented the hotel cab for 4 hours to explore the city from Colaba to Lower Parel. The coastal road and sea link offer incredible views of the Mumbai skyline. We booked a Yacht from the hotel to view the sunset from Bombay Harbour that cost roughly INR 7000 per person, but it's a luxurious experience that one must take. We missed out on the Heritage Car drive due to slots being full, but I will make sure to grab it during my next stay. The staff were incredibly courteous, attentive, and made sure every aspect of the stay was comfortable. A few very special staff members, whom I would love to mention, that made our stay memorable: Aman - At the reception in Palace Lobby, a young chap who was very kind enough to show us the iconic 6th floor of the Palace, and is very well-versed with the history of the hotel. Srushti - She was very helpful and kind to us during check-in and explained us about all the restaurants and dining options. Mayank - At the reception in Palace Lobby, had guided us to our room, a very friendly and approachable gentleman. Loved our chats. Mr. Prabhakar - This gentleman was our guide to the Historic Walk of the hotel, and his tales and stories are something I could listen to all day long. He told us about his relationship with Mr. Ratan Tata and his great achievements. Mr. Prabhakar was a chef at Sea Lounge for 40 years and is now the best Historian of the hotel. Arshaan - A very passionate and cheerful young man, from whose body language you can tell he loves his work. He helped us one evening to understand the menu of Loya restaurant to which we were new to, and made me a lovely 'Sunrise to Sunset' mocktail. This stay at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, was the most memorable vacation of my life. And I look forward to returning very soon and spending quality time here! Thank you! Shreyas.

Our stay at the Taj Mahal Palace was nothing short of impeccable and truly unforgettable for both of us. From the moment we stepped into this iconic landmark, we were welcomed with warmth, grace and impeccable hospitality that instantly made us feel special. The timeless elegance of the hotel, its rich heritage, and the attention to even the smallest details reflected the legacy and grandeur that the Taj Mahal Palace is known for. A very special mention to Mr. Prakash, whose captivating narration of the fascinating history of the Taj Mahal Palace made our experience even more meaningful. His passion, depth of knowledge and the way he beautifully brought the stories of this historic hotel to life added a truly enriching dimension to our visit. For Deepali and me, this was not just a luxurious stay, but a memorable journey into history, elegance and exceptional hospitality — an experience we will cherish for years to come with immense gratitude
