The Only Place to Stay In Munich
In looking back over my 2025 travel experiences, the Bayerischer Hof immediately springs to the top of the list. The location is unsurpassed in Munich, ideally suited for dining, shopping and cultural events. The breakfast is divine. The stars of the show, though, are the world class concierge who are experts in Bayern Munich and opera and everything in between. As a repeat guest, I would prefer not to go to Munich rather than stay elsewhere.

Madness in Munich
Rooms were old and unkempt. Hallways had a weird smell. Had to change rooms 3 times before we finally were able to unpack. If you can afford it, stay at the Rosewood around the block.

A five star experience at a 5* hotel
I booked through Amex Platinum -Fine Hotel and Resorts. The perks were very useful --upgraded to a wonderful room, champagne breakfast included as well as a 90 Euro credit on food/beverages. I used these at rooftop lounge and Trader Vic's ( I was looking for a lite bite.) everything was at least as good or better than expected. I'm a solo traveler ( frequent) so I pay attention to where I'm seated in a restaurant and if the service people are attentive or forget about me. The staff at this hotel could not have been nicer. It's a great experience and I hope to return sooner rather than later. A 5* experience from checkin to checkout!

Wonderful Christmas time in Munich
We (family of six) very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. The location is excellent and extremely convenient - we were able to walk to various Christmas markets, landmarks, restaurants, and shopping. Our accommodations (we booked 2 rooms next to each other) were updated, clean & comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Special shout out the bartenders at the Falk’s bar for their entertaining stories and excellent recommendations for our stay. While there was construction going on at the reception area there was no disruption or noise that impacted our stay. I recommend to take in the view from the Polar Bar for a night cap.
