I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with my stay here and do not recommend if you are looking to be a respected guest. The managers at this hotel are arrogant, unprofessional, conceited, and discriminatory. 1) They improperly handled and disrespected my religious items, squashing the items and not handling with care. This is completely unacceptable and a violation of my rights. 2) They lost a very important and confidential SIM card and took no responsibility for this. 3) They used the card I had put down for a deposit to attempt to charge me for an additional half a day, which I did not even stay and they did this without my permission or awareness. This is a financial breach of contract. 4) And lastly, the worst level of service I have ever had, was that they entered my room without me being present and removed all of my personal items and possessions, throwing it outside. They opened the safe in my room, removing all of my expensive and confidential items and shoved it into various pockets of my suitcase. This is a serious breach of privacy and should be reported. I am a very private and discreet individual, and have stayed in hundreds of hotels, always of the best and top service, and have never been disrespected in this manner. This is the most unprofessional service I have encountered in all my years of travel. This hotel will not handle your items with care or respect, they will lose your items and take no responsibility, and they will throw your items out without your permission. They should not be considered a 5-star hotel with the way they treat you. I felt extremely unwelcome throughout my stay. Do not stay here.

Nothing really special or luxurious about this hotel. The price is way too much for the experience. We would not stay here again. There are just too many other wonderful choices. The breakfast is not worth the add-on, and the valet can take up to an hour to get your car.

My wife and I stayed for one night following a Danube river cruise. We booked through American Express Platinum's Fine Hotel and Resorts benefit and could not have been more impressed. From check-in to check-out the service was superlative in every way. Fantastic lunch in the Schwarzreiter Resturant, Kaffee and Pastry in gorgeous lobby that afternoon, followed by a great breakfast the next morning. The staff is well-dressed, courteous and highly professional. Fully conversant in English, but hey, Americans, learn some basic German and engage, a little Duolingo will take you far. Our room was marvelous and probably had the most comfortable bed (a king) I've ever slept in a hotel of this class. Wine, water, bread sticks and olives were a nice touch. Details matter. It was a great way to end our trip and explore yet another beautiful European city. So many things to see walking distance from the hotel (Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz, Resdidenz, St. Peter's Church.) Final word of advice...forego an expensive cab or uber and take the S8 from Marienplatz to the airport (under 30 Euros for 2.) This was great recommendation from the fine fellow who checked us out. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you! Auf Wiedersehen!

Four stars = very good. Nice hotel. Staff is great. Location is excellent. Everything is very clean. Breakfast is great, but having it at the proper breakfast restaurant is EUR 50 per person. If you aren’t that hungry, sit in the lobby area and enjoy some nice breakfast options a la carte. Room service is also great. They offer turn down service, but for a hotel of that caliber I’d expect a bottle of water and a piece of chocolate at that point. One big downside is the size of the rooms. Every room suggests one person too many. The 1 person room should suggest 0 guests (a room like that simply shouldn’t exist in a five star hotel), the 2-3 person room is really just comfortable for 1 person, and so on.
