Sofitel Munich Bayerpost

I recently stayed at the Sofitel Munich during our European trip and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The service, the room, and the location were all excellent. Unfortunately, I had a fall during my stay, but the way the staff handled it was outstanding. A special mention to Umut Mahmoud, the duty manager, who went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. He was incredibly attentive, even giving me his personal phone number telling me to contact him if I need anything and he checked in regularly to ensure I was comfortable and recovering well. When I contacted him off duty with a question, he still responded and offered help, that level of care is truly rare. I was genuinely touched by the kindness and professionalism shown by the entire team. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Munich. You’ll be in great hands.

The front desk staff, Mr Julian is very nice, sweet and make us impressed with the hotel services so much. My mother is sick and he went out of his way to manage to call the dr and set her to meet with the dr in a day. He organized everything so well and very calm. He is very pleasant and out to help. You have a very outstanding and amazing staff. Thank you

Very good as all the other Sofitels, with quite an elegance and formal ambience as the rest. The beds are amazing and the size of the room pretty good. Only a bit noisy from the other guests walking outside the room.The breakfast is delicious. Well located to walk to Meryenplatz, shopping, oktoberfest. Besides the train station. Good service and clean rooms.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I feel a moral obligation to warn prospective guests about the appalling state of this hotel, especially since it severed ties with the Accor group. Please, do not consider this a five-star establishment; the service simply does not meet the standard expected of a luxury property. The single, solitary positive this hotel has going for it is its proximity to Oktoberfest. That is where the pleasantries end. Upon entering my room, I was met with a significant lapse in basic hygiene: the cleaning staff had overlooked previous customers' used clothing. This is utterly disgusting and unacceptable, proving the room was not properly serviced. Predictably, there was also no turndown service, which I was counting on to ensure the room would at least be properly cleaned in the evening. Furthermore, receiving basic amenities felt like pulling teeth, requiring multiple, frustrating calls to the front desk. I am still here for three more miserable nights, and I have zero expectation of any improvement. Management needs to seriously reconsider the rating they assign this property; it deserves a significant star downgrade for failing so spectacularly on service and cleanliness. Avoid this hotel if you value hygiene and adequate service.

Wonderful hotel!!! Easy walk to Old Town. Next to the railway station but no noise. Great welcoming and helpful staff! We upgraded at check-in to a jumior suite on the 8th floor (top floor). Two level hotel room with 2 bathrooms. Really nice! The best part of our 4 day stay was our daily trip to the indoor pool and sauna! Wow! The pool feels like you are swimming underground. It is dark and lit with blue lights. There are bubbling, water jet, and waterfall features to make your swim relaxing and enjoyable. The saunas are amazing. Dry and wet saunas. Showers and infrared sauna, too. There is also a quiet relax room for peaceful meditation. Be ready to ditch the bathing suit when you get in the saunas! It's birthday suits only! The bar is great for drinks and casual food options. This was a great choice. You'll be happy you stayed here. #1 on our list for Munich.
