Amex Travel Hotel Collection, but we recommend finding another hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I’m writing to express some serious concerns regarding our recent stay, which unfortunately fell well below expectations. We attempted to share feedback by emailing the general manager during our visit, but we never received a response. This lack of follow-through only compounded the series of frustrating experiences we encountered. To summarize: We requested a pen to complete the guest experience card for morning coffee service and were told we needed to come downstairs to get one. After completing the card and placing it on the door well before midnight, our coffee was never delivered. No one could explain why, and the response from staff was vague and unhelpful. We called down to request additional bottled water and were, again, told to come down and collect it ourselves. This seems unnecessarily inconvenient for even the most basic guest requests. There was no hairdryer in the room, which we had to request. Later, we went to the front desk to ask for additional towels and were told they would be sent up. We waited over 20 minutes while trying to get ready to go out, called down again, and still no one ever came. When we followed up downstairs, staff seemed unsure of what happened and never followed up or resolved the issue. We requested a steamer and were first sent an iron, which was already in the room. When we called again, not only were we asked if we “knew what a steamer was,” but we were eventually handed a dangerously hot steamer without any warning. This was both dismissive and unsafe. Given the repeated lack of follow-through, we chose not to have our room serviced during our stay, as we no longer felt comfortable relying on the staff for anything beyond the bare minimum. We were only staying at the property to sleep and shower, and it became clear that even those basics came with avoidable complications. Who would be the most appropriate person to speak with about these issues? We had friends join us at the hotel shortly after our arrival, and despite our hope that things would improve, they had a similarly disappointing experience. We've never encountered this level of disorganization and disregard for guest needs at any property before, and we felt genuinely unsure of how to address it in the moment without creating more disruption. At this point, I believe this feedback should also be shared with American Express, as we would not want future travelers to have the same experience.

Bobbys rooftop pool was ann absolutely awesome way to spend our afternoon! Ryan and Lance were the best and so attentive! The drinks were great and we really loved their margaritas. Beautiful day for a rooftop pool!! Will be back time we are in Nashville.

Excellent service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Krystal provided an absolutely outstanding dining experience and deserves the highest praise for her service. From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly, professional attitude that set the tone for the entire afternoon. She was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, checking in just the right amount to ensure we had everything we needed while allowing us to enjoy our meal and conversation. What stood out most was her genuine enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the menu—she offered helpful recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. Every detail was handled with care, from ensuring dietary preferences were met to refilling drinks promptly. Krystal’s ability to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask showed a level of service that’s rare and truly appreciated. Even during a busy afternoon, she remained calm, efficient, and completely focused on making our experience exceptional. Her energy, professionalism, and kindness created a welcoming and memorable atmosphere that elevated our entire evening. It's clear that Krystal takes great pride in her work, and it reflects in every interaction. She is a true asset to the team and someone we’d be thrilled to have serve us again. Thank you, Krystal

Good and Awful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

First room lovely at 706 with large windows and good size which was lovely. However, the second room - 711 - a pig with little light and space for only one bedside table. 5 star then 1 star so averaged. Nice roof terrace. Gym fine but a windowless cell. Nice and close to Broadway in a nice area

Horrific. Flooded room. Terrible Customer Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Horrific. Came back from a show to find part of our room flooded, carpet fully saturated. The room had smelled quite musty when we came in but we left for a show quickly. Hotel was full so couldn’t move our room. Their solution was to put towels all over the floor and have ME step on them to soak up the water and give us a $100 credit. No other options offered as there was no supervisor or manager working that night (Friday night), crazy for a downtown Nashville hotel. We could sleep in that room and talk to the manager in the morning, but no guarantee they would refund any more than $100 (room was $580 for that night). I said this was not a satisfactory solution. We were local having a date night out and we could just go home instead. She said she would call her manager (after I told her that’s what needed to be done) and she said she would find out other options. Mind you, she is not very kind at all. She called me back 5 min later and said, “you can go home and we will refund you.” That was our only option. We left. Completely ruined our dinner plans and night out. My husband and I believe this must be a common occurrence bc no one seemed the slightest bit concerned about fixing a good size leak somewhere near our room or that our bed could be an ark by morning if we stayed and they didn’t fix it.
