I just came back from a short stay at this resort. I was there with my wife and child. We stayed in the east tower room 1938. The view was great and the hospitality we received from Cassandra was exceptional.

Wonderful Stay
We had an amazing first visit to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more special. The customer service was outstanding, and booking The Reserve was absolutely worth it. Michelle Bullard and Nakaria went above and beyond to make us feel cared for, they truly made our stay unforgettable. We’re so grateful for the experience and can’t wait to come back!

Horrendous Customer Service/Leadership – Avoid at all Cost
Our stay at Baha Mar fell shockingly short of “luxury.” Room & Safety: Blood-stained bedding (twice), three broken hairdryers, no trash can in the bathroom, a missing desk chair, and shards of glass on the floor (stepped on three times). We asked housekeeping to vacuum twice, and they clearly did not because the stepping on glass happened on two separate days. Cabanas & Pool: Paid cabanas had to ask and wait 3 hours for our fruit plate that comes with the rental, pools were dirty with broken tiles, and staff ignored rule violations (blaring personal music, footballs being thrown, a game of throwing cups of water back and forth for over an hour, and 10+ people crowding one cabana). Dining: Our Jazz Bar reservation on Sunday was meaningless—no one checked. By Tuesday, we were told of a two-drink minimum to sit. Service: Staff were indifferent and rude, and two apologies only came after we demanded a manager. One from Theresa (front desk) and Gregory (housekeeping) were rare exceptions who truly cared. Management: I was given a manager’s email to follow up on pool issues. I sent a detailed message over a week ago and have yet to hear back. This silence perfectly reflects the poor leadership and lack of accountability we experienced throughout our stay. Between unsafe conditions, dismissive staff, and management’s failure to respond even after checkout. I have stayed at many different Hyatt properties before, at all category levels, and this is by far the worst property and customer service I have ever encountered. While I will still remain loyal to Hyatt, this property should be ashamed of themselves.
