Grand Hyatt Baha Mar

We’ve been fortunate enough to visit a few resorts and this is our favorite. Clean, classy, kids absolutely love it, and the food alone makes it enjoyable. I really can’t say enough about Bahamar. Plenty of family activities and no real reason to leave the resort. Our kids are still asking to return.

I’ve stayed at the Baha Mar twice (in 2023 and 2025), both times were due to my partner having a work reward conference at this hotel. The hotel is huge, and has a very big convention center, so it is a fantastic place to host big groups. We were in the West Tower of the Grand Hyatt. The location within the resort is fantastic, super easy to walk to the pools, beach, shops, convention center and the various restaurants on properly. Honestly, you don’t really ever need to leave this resort if you don’t want to - everything you need is right there. Hotel Room: We were in a lovely suite. It was clean, well appointed, had a great view, and we were excited to have a washer/dryer. This makes the trip so much better when you can wash your clothes and pack less! Housekeeping was fantastic, keeping the room tidy and clean all week. Restaurants: We love the restaurants on property. The food is fantastic, and the service is top notch. We dined at Katsuya, Shuang Ba, Costa, Marcus, Sugar Factory and the Pizza place. However, the one significant complaint I have, which definitely impacts your experience, is the temperature in the indoor spaces. It is WAY too cold in all the restaurants. I’d rate the restaurants 4 out of 5 stars, only lowering my rating due to the temperate in the restaurants. Women in dresses were freezing all over the place, so bring a pashmina if you want to dress in a scrappy or sleeveless dress, but survive the frigid tundra of the Baha Mar. Spa: We used the spa twice. I would give the facilities a 3 out of 5 stars. They could definitely take a note from other high end resorts and upgrade the spa to be more of a destination with a private pool and larger unisex area. However, the therapists were super - both my treatments were really good. Pools: The pools were great, but we were there in off-season, so the place was not full. There were plenty of loungers and places to hang out throughout the day. I don’t know if this would be the case in the high season. Pools were clean and the service at the pools was good. Overall, this place is fantastic. I tend to prefer smaller, boutique resorts, but I really enjoy the Baha Mar.

Exceptional hotel with great restaurants and great service all around! This resort offers everything that one would want on a relaxing vacation. Great pools, beautiful beach experience and wonderful and attentive staff.

What a great experience, a phenomenal facility and resort. We were there six days and five nights wish we could’ve stayed longer. There is plenty to do, they have a full-fledged casino, many restaurants, a cigar bar, and several places to get nice desserts. If you go to the Swimming Pig, you must ask for Carolina and Tiffany. They both have great personalities, they go out their way to help you, and they continually have a smile on their face. We ate a couple of lunches there and also a breakfast one morning the food is absolutely fantastic. if you’d like conch fritters like we do it’s a must get item. The casino was a lot of fun did not have to spend a lot of money by choice but also a lot to do. They have eight or nine swimming pools. We visited several of them. This is a great place to go with family, kids or couples. Take money it is not inexpensive.

Wonderful experience, great customer services. We accidentally lost our electric car keys while visiting the lazy river at Baha bay. After closing time Shawn the lifeguard at the water park went above & beyond to assist us with finding our keys & making sure that they were working. Will definitely be returning! Thank you Shawn!
