Incredible service. Casino staff was VERY friendly ESPECIALLY Pamela..she went above & beyond to ensure I was satisfied 🙂

It's a nice facility, especially for families, with many different pools, a waterpark, a great beach, but after 9 days on vacation, I left feeling that I had not spent my money wisely. I found the standard of service to be pretty mixed but generally poorer than I would expect at this price point. Between Christmas and New Year, over $2k per night for an average room. The majority of staff I encountered were pretty sullen and unhelpful. Of course, there were exceptions The hotel also gives the impression that it wants to extract maximum $ at every opportunity - very expensive drinks, food, sunbeds if you want to be right next to the pool, cabanas etc. 15% service added to all bills, plus an expectation of further gratuity. It gets pretty pricey - maybe $25 for a cocktail on the beach. Even a virgin Mojito is going to cost the best part of $20. None of this matters if the service is brilliant, but it really isn't, Catering / restaurants are an issue. You have to make reservations in advance to eat at a sensible time, but the system for doing so (website etc) is really poor, UI/UX is seemingly from a different decade, so it is made extremely difficult. Bedrooms are ok, nothing special - but no turndown service, no automatic top up of toiletries or coffee. Some extraordinary oversights, like no bin in the bathroom. Again, not what I would expect at the price point. Ok for $250 a night, but not for $2000. Queuing is the name of the game for check-in and for the breakfast buffet - sometimes up to 25 min for the buffer. Again, not what you would expect at this price point. Even if you have made a reservation for dinner at a restaurant you can be kept waiting to be seated. sometimes up to 20 minutes. And yet if you are 15 min late, your reservation can be cancelled any you may be charged $100 a head for a no-show. I made a number of complaints and escalations, but only received vacuous responses like 'we value your feedback'. No discernible management presence or action. I am sure it is a very profitable business, but I left feeling that the service was average and not worth the money.

Fantastic experience. The resort is beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly and there are a ton of activities to do with kids. The food is very expensive and you need to make reservations in advance at the restaurants as they book up quickly, but we would definitely return.

My family went to the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar to celebrate Christmas and my sister's birthday. It was an excellent, enjoyable, birthday celebration and holiday experience!

My husband and I come to the Bahamas multiple times a year. We have been staying at Bah Mar every time since 2019. We love it here. This stay our front desk host Martiqua went above and beyond to take care of our needs. Thanks 😊
