Absolute love this hotel and resort. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The rooms are nice. We had a suite facing the fountain. The kitchen was great for leftovers and milk for the little ones. The resort grounds are fantastic. So many pools to choose from. The aquarium pool is so cool and my kids loved seeing the turtles and sharks. The beach is wonderful. We were out on the sand around 845 every morning. Plenty of chair (doesn’t get crowded until more midday). The water is cold, but refreshing. The sand is soft. The restaurants are great. Plenty of options. Most places have a 5 and under eat free section. My kids are well. The only frustration is the 15% service charge that’s added everywhere (except Starbucks). I get it for lunch and dinner service but when it’s added to already expensive smoothies ($16++) and drinks and pastries and ice cream those 15% charges really add up. The water park is super fun. 2 areas for kids. Amazing slides. Lazy river. Free entrance for resort guests. This was our 3rd time at the Baha Mar and 2nd time at the Grand Hyatt. Look forward to returning soon. Absolutely the best place to visit especially with young kids.

Tanaj at check in was absolutely amazing in helping get a great room that is ready now and he is just a life of the whole entire entire check in process. Thank you for getting our family vacation off to a great start. Give this guy a raise!!!! we are looking forward to the rest of the trip and Tina can join us anytime for dinner at the pool. Thanks again!

Overall it was great. Beautiful property, clean, felt extremely safe, classy crowd, etc. The food is expensive, but we split every meal and had leftovers. If you do that, it still comes out cheaper than an all-inclusive, alcohol included. It’s lacking live entertainment. Other resorts I’ve been to have shows by the pool during the day, night shows on the lawn, etc. I also didn’t love the upcharges for basic activities. For instance, Mini golf is $100, before tax, for a family of 4. Touch tank, which is such a basic experience, is $60 before tax for a family of 4. I get charging extras for more involved experiences, such as feeding flamingos. We didn’t do the baha bay chair reservations and were glad we didn’t. There were chairs everywhere. Marcus was our worst dinner. Pizza Lab, sugar factory, Fi’lia, and Shubang (spelling?) were all great!

Overall great, but pricey. Water park was great. Stay away from the meatballs at Pizza Lab made son sick. Many restaurants to choose from.

I was almost afraid to book a vacation at Bahamar after reading hundreds of reviews on the Facebook Bahamar group and I am so glad I didn't. The hotel, grounds, pools, beaches, restaurants, shops and casinos were all immaculate. While costly, the food was excellent, with options from A-Z. We didn't have one bad meal. Our kids and grandkids had a wonderful time, which is priceless. We will definitely be back!
