Reviews for The Imperial New Delhi

A luxurious end to any holiday with exceptional service and unparalleled comfort.

This place is exactly as the photos show - it is beautiful, the service is outstanding and the experience is second to none. We stayed 4 nights at the Imperial and felt like princesses. It's luxurious and the service could not be faulted - the staff didn't just say hello, they engaged and took an interest in our trip. While food and drinks are expensive, they are high quality - and the high tea is not to be missed. We loved having a cocktail and bar snacks to end a busy day after a dip in the pool and a mocktail. Yoga was a bonus and the concierge was very helpful. We didn't feel pressured to tip and (as Aussies) probably didn't tip often enough as the service was primed for it. The location feels exclusive and you aren't really in a spot to go walking to find your way around and get a feel for the city. So grab a map from the concierge, plan your trip and then book taxis or uber trips. But splurge on the hotel driver to take you the airport, where another hotel staff member met us and helped check our luggage through - worth every cent!

We had an amazing 4 night stay at The Imperial. Everythin was excellent--location, hotel, room, amenities, and food. Specially want to recognize Mr Karanveer Singh and his F&B staff for their customer service and looking after us during our entire stay. Also, if you stay at The Imperial, you must try their restaurants--we had dinners at 2 (San Gimignano and The Speice Route) and both were really really good.

Though this post is a little late but Really well done with the dinner arrangements! The table setup was spot on, the service felt seamless, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Appreciate the efforts of Mr. Sandeep Rawat to organise evrything smoothly.

A Unique Blend of Hospitality, Kindness, and Care

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I travel a lot, and The Imperial stands out for one reason--the incredible staff. This is especially true for their two bars: Patiala Peg and 1911 Bar. Chinki is a young and passionate, intuitive, and creative bartender. When she saw we looking at the menu and not quite sure, she asked me a couple of quick questions and recommended something not on the menu, and she crafted a perfectly balanced cocktail--and something I would normally never drink. At Patiala Peg, Avipal is kind, warm, and has a keen sense for when I wanted to engage and when I needed some time for myself. His attention to detail creates a flawless bar experience. Lastly, Yogesh takes hospitality to another level. he creates an unexpected experience for a hotel bar, leveling up in every detail. If I was switching careers and was going to move into hospitality, Yogesh would be the first person I would hire. I am grateful for everyone at The Imperial who made me feel at home despite being 11,000 miles away from my own.

While in India, one must visit the Taj Mahal and stay at the Imperial

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

My Dad and I were in Delhi for 9 nights and decided to split our time between Maidens (4 nights) and the Imperial (5 nights). It was the best decision to stay at the Imperial who knocked the ball out of the park and dwarf every other hotel you have or will ever stay in. It is possible to fall in love with a hotel. The hotel is a museum hotel so for art lovers it is really quite something (the Delhi Durbar behind the front desk, and the obedient elephant with its master sleeping on a mat, are some of the most moving masterpieces). I changed our art tour time as I wanted to have a more leisurely breakfast. Unbeknown to me at the time, Iris had come to work that day especially for our tour but on rescheduling they accommodated us seamlessly. Our room was beautiful - from the exquisite Clive Road tea and chocolate dipped madeleines, to the finest bed linen and toiletries that carries the Imperial scent. The pool is the best swimming pool I have ever seen let alone swam in - the robe, and picnic basket with the sweet lime simply gorgeous - thank you Surender and Pardeep. The spa is breathtaking - including the slippers...I spent a lot of time with Athini, Dr Sheema and Rakesh - thank you. The breakfast at 1911 was the best food and service we have had across India, not only the food but graciously accommodating us to sit in our favourite beloved table each day - thank you Laxman, Anoop, Arjun, Meenu, and Joseph. It was extraordinary on every level with Laxman making an Insta reel of us all. We delighted in the staff who surrounded us each day and touched our hearts. These are the real jewels in the crown with an uncontrived and flawless execution. There were countless people that marked our stay. T H A N K Y O U for spoiling us ... from the door people's greetings - Biju, Madan, Bijender, Zokim; housekeeping and evening turndowns; the cake desk Elizabeth's kind heart; chatting to the management Mandeep, Karanveer, and Louis' + everyone else I haven't mentioned. "While in India, one must visit the Taj Mahal and stay at the Imperial." I was teary to leave and dream to return.
