Disappointing Experience at a Supposedly High-End Hotel – Would Not Recommend I stayed at the Imperial Hotel from July 21st to 24th, 2025. I arrived late in the evening and was warmly welcomed by the reception staff. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. I was given a small, claustrophobic room with a very strong moldy smell. I called the front desk, and they sent a maintenance worker who sprayed the room with air freshener and said the smell would go away – it only made things worse. I asked to speak with a manager, who showed me a different room – slightly larger and with a less intense smell. He referred to this as an “upgrade,” and I thanked him for the gesture. At no point did he mention that this upgrade came with an extra charge. While the second room was somewhat better, the unpleasant odor lingered throughout my stay. I chose not to complain again, although the issue remained. Even in the beautiful pool area, there was a noticeable sewage smell, which was disappointing and took away from the relaxing atmosphere. On the positive side, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it advertised the option for late check-out. However, when I asked about it at the front desk, I was told check-out is at 12:00, and an extension would cost a significant additional fee. Only after insisting did they agree to a small extension. The final surprise came at check-out, when I discovered I had been charged for the “upgrade” – the second room, which also had a bad smell, just slightly less so than the first. Again, this charge was never mentioned or agreed upon in advance. In summary, this is an expensive hotel that seems to think it’s acceptable to give guests moldy rooms, charge them for switching to another subpar room, and call it an upgrade. I left with a very unpleasant impression and would not return. Not recommended.

Great stay and nice to back again to the warmest Indian Hospitality ..love the people are very friendly. Food so delicious and breakfast with a lot of variety.

Very happy to share that our meeting at Emily Eden was super successful, thanks to the Imperial team! I'd like to mention Mr. Himanshu, Mr. Faizan, and Mr. Gagan, who were superb and did an excellent job. We'll definitely hold future events here.

I switched my reservation from another hotel to Imperial based on my friend's (who lives in Delhi and works in the hospitality industry) recommendation, and so glad for that. Stunning architecture/decor, and sparkling clean everywhere. Attentive staff. Gorgeous breakfast. Definitely above average fitness center. Got facials and a haircut, which was a nice experience. It is one of the most beautiful hotel I've ever been to.

This hotel is a must stay. The service is outstanding, Anoop and his staff were extremely helpful with all of our needs. The food was delectable. Yoga in the morning was so relaxing. Make this hotel a part of your trip!
