We had an amazing time
My girlfriends and I did a tour of the Golden Triangle. Our base was New Delhi at the Lodhi. What a lovely experience we had. The Room(2B): it had some quirks (e.g. no place to hang hand towels near the bathroom sink) but it was spacious, comfortable and had all the amenities (bottled water replaced every day and electric kettle to make tea) The Driver: One person stood out in particular - our main driver, Naresh. Naresh was so engaging, thoughtful and kind. Naresh made sure we were safe no matter where we went. If we weren’t comfortable, Naresh would accompany us. If you get Naresh as a driver, you’re in good hands. Thank you Naresh! Thanks also to another driver who saw us safely to our train to Agra. The staff: they were courteous, helpful and made every effort to accommodate our requests. The food: thoroughly enjoyed the food whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Best meal of the entire two weeks was the tasting menu at the renowned Indian Accent. The asparagus truffle maki and Parmesan truffle fries at Perbacco were amazing. The hot and sour soup and the corn soup at Elan were so good. We didn’t spend as much time on the hotel grounds due to the pollution. The pool area is beautiful though, and when we come back, we plan to make good use of it. We had a wonderful time!
