My stay was memorable due to very cooperative staff of Taj , especially snehil at reception must need a promotion,himanshi at reception and prakash at machaan was helpful, location of this hotel is topmost and elite class visits here more often, swimming pool sitting arrangement is awesome,so I would definitely recommend this hotel

The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, offers an unbeatable location in the heart of Lutyens' Delhi. The staff is exceptionally warm and professional, providing truly personalized service. With its elegant Mughal-inspired decor and serene atmosphere, the hotel’s ambience perfectly blends luxury with timeless grace. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

The property is located right in the middle of the city, which is a nice neighbourhood. Front desk staff was very warm and courteous with everything. Inside the property, we mostly saw non-residents around, who were there for events or meetings. The lobby area was always super busy and crowded. Our stay was all meals inclusive, which meant that our breakfast and dinner was at Machan restaurant. Machan was heavily understaffed and the servers were very ignorant. They have a fixed menu for buffet, which is presented as an a-la-carte menu, and dishes are served at the table after placing orders. However, the servers were deliberately trying to avoid noting down guests' orders. Even though their menu is pre-decided, it takes forever for the food to arrive, and by the time we want to order more, buffet is about to close and servers have another reason to avoid our calls. More than twice, we ended up not receiving items from our order without any explanation. On one occasion, we called up a server and she simply left saying that somebody else should be there for the order. Nobody arrived and we eventually left. Dining at Machan was quite shocking and we are never seeing that again.

I arrived with high expectations after hearing wonderful things of the Taj hotel group however left extremely underwhelmed by the service and staff of the property. Upon my arrival I received no welcome drink nor welcome ritual which I later saw other guests receive during check in. The check in agent had little knowledge of the benefits associated with my AMEX FHR reservation and I had to remind her on multiple occasions of my entitled benefits. She did not explain any hotel facilities to me at all, I had to ask her where breakfast was served. I communicated with the agent that I had a very late departure flight the following day and would like to utilize my credit inclusion after my 4pm guaranteed late checkout and she made it extremely difficult requiring an additional phone call with the duty manager to have a minor issue solved. I visited the spa and my massage was great so was my therapist with 17 years of experience, however the locker room attendant made me very uncomfortable throughout my stay in the wet facilities. He constantly followed me around and stood less than a meter of me while I was shaving and was just staring at me. At one point I put on a face mask and wanted to relax in the heated lounge chairs and he chased after me asking me where I was going! I was simply appalled by the attitude and intrusiveness of the staff. During check out they again had issues with finding my spa bill causing a delay to my departure. The hotel exchange rate for my credit inclusion was exploitative. I also had to wheel my own luggage to my transportation upon leaving the property while multiple staff stood there doing nothing. This is my first time in New Delhi and I chose the Taj for its reputation in which they have not lived up to therefore I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
