Absolutely amazing Feel. Came here to celebrate my Wife’s birthday and they treated us like MAHARAJA’s. We’ve been to many luxury properties across the globe but this One of the best stays my family had experienced. Firstly they upgraded our room to 3 levels up to TAJ CLUB. The check in experience was soo smooth and easy. The staff were so very co-operative. The room was massive with so many amenities- they provided us fresh fruits, an array of desserts , chocolates and some crayons and playbook for my kids. Not to forget a special bouquet for my spouse as well. Everything was smooth and easy. The staff was so good, soft spoken and always ready for any type of service for us.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Taj Mahal Palace New Delhi. While the property has a strong reputation, the actual experience was far from satisfactory. The biggest issue was the dirty water coming from the bathroom taps and shower. We immediately informed the hotel staff, and despite spending nearly 2 hours trying to fix the problem, they were still unable to resolve it properly. This delay completely ruined our plans for the day, as we were stuck waiting in the room for the issue to be addressed. In the end, the problem still remained unresolved, and we were forced to leave the hotel without even being able to take a bath. On top of that, the service at Machan restaurant was extremely slow. Even basic requests took an unreasonable amount of time, making the dining experience equally frustrating and disappointing. For a luxury hotel that charges premium prices, I expected much better maintenance, professionalism, and faster service recovery. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to the standards associated with the Taj brand. Room No.: 530

There are hotels that shelter you, and then there are hotels that hold you — not in their architecture, not in the weight of their chandeliers, not in the gleam of their silverware — but in something far quieter, far rarer, and infinitely more difficult to manufacture: the warmth of a smile that means it. I have spent the better part of a decade moving through the world's finest addresses. I know the language of luxury. I know the choreography of a grand check-in, the performance of a perfectly turned-down bed, the theatre of polished cutlery catching the morning light. I have seen it all, and I will confess — I have grown, in my own quiet way, a little numb to it. And then came the night of the 20th of May, 2026. My daughter's birthday. A single day, wedged between travel and tomorrow, tucked inside a hotel room that could have been just another room. But the Taj Mahal — its people — refused to let it be ordinary. From the moment I arrived at the front desk, something was different. There was no script in their eyes. There was only presence. The kind of attention that does not glance at a screen while you are speaking. The kind that notices the date on a reservation and understands, without being told, that a date is never just a date. I will not name names, though I carry several in my heart. Because here is what humbled me most: it was not one person. It was every person. The one who checked me in. The one who appeared in the corridor with a quiet acknowledgment. The team that made breakfast not a meal but a conversation — unhurried, genuine, as if the morning belonged to us and the world outside could wait. Every individual I encountered carried the same quiet fire: the intent to make something matter. I have stayed in properties that spend fortunes on training manuals. The Taj Mahal appears to have spent it on something else entirely — on finding human beings who possess, in their very nature, the gift of making a guest feel not merely welcome, but seen. There is a profound difference between service and care. Service is transactional. Care is what you feel when someone, in the middle of their own long shift, finds a reason to make your daughter's birthday feel like it was planned for her all along. This is what ten years on the road teaches you: the grand rooms fade from memory. The thread count of sheets, the height of ceilings, the view from the window — these blur into one another across a thousand nights. But a smile — a genuine smile, one that reaches the eyes and asks nothing in return — that stays. It becomes part of the story you tell. The Taj Mahal Hotel is not great because of what it has built. It is great because of who it has become. Its staff are not merely its difference — they are its soul. On the 20th of May, they did not just host a traveller and his daughter. They gave a little girl a birthday she will remember, and gave her father his faith back — faith that somewhere in the world of hospitality, the human being still stands at the centre of it all. With the deepest gratitude, and the highest admiration.

I would like to especially appreciate Mr. Hyder at the front desk for his exceptional professionalism and hospitality. His prompt action, attention to detail, and excellent knowledge made the entire experience seamless and truly pleasant. He was always proactive, courteous, and quick in resolving queries efficiently. Staff members like him truly reflect the high standards and class associated with Taj Mansingh. Thank you, Hyder, for making the stay even more memorable.
