About the Hotel

Centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, Bryant Park is a little bit of Europe in New York. The green lawns of the park are overshadowed by the New York Public Library, and all around sidewalk cafes and upscale boutiques bustle with activity. Home to weekly book and flower markets, Bryant Park is also periodically covered by white tents for New York Fashion Week. There is no more exciting place to be in all New York, and it is here that you will find the uber-hip Bryant Park Hotel.

The best customer service, and the only hotel I will stay in while in NYC

I stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel in March of 2024, for the NYC Half Marathon weekend. Veronica, Jo, and Ray made the stay a complete joy. Coffee was ready in the morning, as well as water during the day. There was a round of applause for myself and my friend when we hobbled in with our medals after the half. They made great suggestions on where to go, and assisted us with taxi service when it was time to depart. The room was large and beautiful, with great shower pressure. It also overlooked the park. The location was close to everything; Broadway, Times Square, and the Empire State Building. A great experience all around!

Fabulous Stay

Just spent a lovely holiday at the Bryant Park Hotel, which is well located in midtown Manhattan. The hotel is situated just across the road from the lovely Bryant Park itself. The hotel staff Siobhan, Jo, and all those at the front desk/door were exceptionally helpful and made our trip even more special. Our room was comfy, especially the bed, which aided restful sleep. The bathroom was spacious, with nice Molton Brown accessories. There is a good bar and restaurant within the hotel and lots of other amenities very close by to the hotel. As it was so central in midtown, you could walk to most places with no problem. I would highly recommend this fabulous hotel and hope to return again.

Excellent rooms, great staff, good restaurant, perfect location

I had always admired the hotel’s facade. This time I got to stay and had the best surprise:. While I found the reception area a little too bright red and separated from the entrance and the corridors a little plain, the room was the best! I had a lower room on the fourth floor with a view on the park. The room was very large and definitely rare by NY standards. The windows are almost floor to ceiling and the refurbishment was amazing with very good taste and practicality. The bathroom was also large with both a shower and tub and the materials were top notch. While it was a little noisy, (i am very sensitive to noise) the hotel is on the street rather than the Avenue which really makes it fine. Super clean with hard wood floors and the softest bath robes. The staff also were amazing - David especially that I was lucky to be welcomed and send off by and Shannen at the front desk- were warm, great sense of humor and super professional. I will be back ! A great find minutes from Grand Central and literally half a block from the subway. Oh and I should mention the restaurant (Koi) - try the crispy rice !

Top Notch Customer Service.

The customer service is the best. We arrived early with 90 year old mother and they went out of the way to make sure everything was taken care of. Jo at the front desk took particular good care of my mother while we waited for our room. They upgraded us to the refurbished rooms and included a box of candy. Have stayed here several times in the past and I will continue to stay here in the future.

Yes, you should stay at the Bryant Park Hotel.

Four of us (two couples) stayed the Bryant Park Hotel for 11 days in April 2024. It is a ‘character’ hotel in midtown Manhattan with ‘old time New York’ architecture outside and ‘minimal’ modern style inside. It is veeerrry central - on 40th St and 5th Ave. In two blocks you can access anything. It is steps to Times Square (but feels sheltered), Summit One tower, Grand Central, Keens Chophouse, and close to the Empire State, 30 Rock, Penn Station, Madison Square Garden etc. The subway is literally a minute away on the corner and takes you direct to upper Midtown, Harlem, the Bronx (and beyond), or to lower Manhattan and Brooklyn (use the OMNY app!). Its location can’t be overstated. Bryant Park is home to the New York Public Library and a place to just chill in the middle of everything. We stayed in one of hotel’s Junior Suites on the 12th floor overlooking the park and library. The suite is big, about 450sq ft (42 sqm), but feels even bigger due to its box layout. It has large windows, great view of the park, and a lot of light. The bathroom (with bath and shower) is huge, with bathrobes, slippers, good water pressure. The bed is big and comfortable, a mid-size TV with decent channels (if you have time for that), and you can cast to it from your devices. Spotless housekeeping was a major plus. There is a decent couch, armchair, and desk area. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be to update the couch and armchair to be a bit more ‘lounge-able’. We pre-requested a small additional fridge (so not sure if they come as standard) but really helped us stock drinks and snacks rather than buy them each time from the corner at $NYC prices. While there, the staff kindly showed us some Junior Suites being refurbished on level 4, to be available from late April 2024. I would fully recommend those. They have upgraded styling, furniture, and a larger TV. They also sit just above the park and give you the feeling of being among the trees when opening the curtains. We never tried the gym (but heard from others it was fine) nor tried the ‘Koi’ restaurant. We did spend time in the underground mediterranean-themed ‘Celon’ bar at the end of long days and it was great (standard $NYC type prices). However, it was the staff that made our stay at the Bryant Park Hotel. They were professional, responsive, and became our NYC advisors. It is not a large hotel and we got to know the 3-4 staff alternating the night and day shifts. Nothing was a problem and they would help plan our experience, including recommending local diners, activities and travel advice. Every morning we’d talk about our plans for the day and get advice, then catch up when we got back. It gave Bryant Park the feeling of being our home away from home base in New York. A genuine thanks to staff Jo(sephine) Kinsella, John Castillo, Scott, Dwight, Shannen, Kieran, ‘Zee’, Siobhan (the GM) and the housekeeping staff. They really did help make our trip. We would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, facilities, and particularly its staff. Thanks Bryant ark Hotel. Turei
