Boscolo Nice

We were shown to our room after upgrading and were horrified to be put in a rabbit hutch!! We were moved but charged nearly €300 to be moved to a slightly better room which we heard is the normal thing to try and upsell rooms. I was with my elderly mother and horrified to see the shower cubicle and washroom were in the middle of the room, (see attached picture) my mother has seen me from birth but I havent seen her naked, neither do I want to !!. This hotel rates itself as 5 *** but I think a 3 *** would be more truthful. Front entrance looks wow but thats where it finished. If you look at the room pictures you will see they nearly all look the same...until you get put in one. Beware.

Booked a package with Jet2 total cost of £1645 with additional £216 room upgrade to a Deluxe superior room. On arrival we were put in the smallest room ever, if this was a Deluxe superior I would not want to stay in a basic room. We complained and were moved to a better room but made to pay €69 per night so for 4 nights our room cost £325 per night for what is certainly no more than a 3 star hotel. As other reviews state there is no door to shower area and wash area so if your looking for any form of privacy this hotel is not for you. Would I return? Not a chance.

Estuvimos dos noches en una suite con nuestros hijos . El hotel está muy bien ubicado cerca de la zona comercial y de restaurantes , a 5 minutos de la Promenade des Anglais y un paseo del puerto. Además tiene justo al lado una parada de tranvía . La habitación es nuestro caso fue maravillosa y totalmente renovada , tuvieron un detalle con nuestros hijos para colorear y unas chuches . El personal muy amable . Lo que no está al nivel de 5 estrellas es quizás el spa ( no fueron amables, tuvimos que pedir las toallas etc ) y la piscina los dos días que fuimos tenía trozos de papel por el agua . Podría estar mejor mantenida. El desayuno aunque abundante y variado , no era de calidad ( bollería industrial , zumos que no eran naturales) . Los platos calientes que se piden a la carta como los huevos benedict correctos pero no a la altura de un 5 estrellas . Tiene una licuadora para que te puedas preparar tus batidos y un libro de recetas de smoothies pero solo había a disposición para usar manzanas . Por lo demás el hotel bien, luminoso , con detalles como el billar que es divertido , decoración agradable ! El gimnasio muy bien también y abierto 24 horas , con todo lo necesario. Repetiría experiencia pero no desayuno .

Juste pour avoir fait le bar de cet hôtel normal 5 étoiles. En famille c’est à dire 3 ados et un couple. Pour un 5 étoiles je ne dois pas observer des ventilations sales de poussière, les serveurs ne doivent pas tout retirer de table une fois fini d’un air de dire « partez », serveur en air force one? Pas de code vestimentaire ??? Ce n’est qu’une façade !!! Pas chaleureux et pas accueillant !! Je suis désolé de ce commentaire mais c’est factuel !!

Visited here for a few days, the location is ideal and within a close walk away to the main centre. The staff were also very friendly. Unfortunately the room let down the experience. We paid additional to upgrade the room. Room was very tired with the shower not working, mould in bathroom. The spa was also below average and not very clean. Simple things wrong like hand rail falling off swimming pool! Wouldn’t recommend!
