About the Hotel

The former residence of the Swedish Royal Family, Chateau Eza is an enchanting 14th century hotel set in the thousand-year-old French medieval village of Eze. Perched 1,300 feet above the Mediterranean Sea, this exquisite ten-room member of Lifestyle Hotels & Resorts opened its doors again in April 2004 following an extensive renovation by the Stein Group, which has added up-to-the-moment amenities without sacrificing the hotel's medieval charms. Most rooms feature stone fireplaces and private balconies with breathtaking views of the Cote d'Azur, while the Gastronomic Restaurant boasts some of the most panoramic dining in the region.

Reviews for Chateau Eza

Don’t stay in standard room with 2 separate levels.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

One of the standard rooms is on 2 separate levels. The total space is about 25 sq meters which is what the other standard room has. Unfortunately, the first room on two separate levels is practically unusable. Each one of the spaces is so small, you’re unable to pack your bags and settle in. We stayed three nights and switched from the standard room on two separate levels to a standard room on one level. The second standard room was much better, however, the beds are still not that comfortable. The village itself is very quaint until the crowds show up daily. The garden is the pinnacle of our stay here. If you’re looking to establish a home base for the French Riveria, I wouldn’t recommend Eze Village. It’s a good place to visit for a few hours but arrive early and go the the garden. 8 euros per adult. It’s a must see. I recommend arriving at the garden by 9-10am so it’s less crowded.

Beautiful stay in the low season

Visited in April, the location of the Chateau is perfect for a quaint escape in a medieval town. The views are stunning, the people are great, and the rooms are even better.

Chateau Eza will meet and then exceed your expectations! The staff, the service, the food and accommodations are all designed to make your visit as stress-free as possible. As long as you can climb the entrance to the Chateau, you will not be disappointed in what awaits you. Also, the Panoramic Room offers you spectacular views whilst soaking in the hot tub on your terrace.

A great hotel. The location, service, atmosphere, quality is at the top. I have stayed there twice in the last year, and the experience was equal. The restaurant was amazing!
