Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives

Absolutely unforgettable stay at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi! We stayed at this beautiful resort with our friends, and our dear friend with 2 kids with reduced mobility joined us as well. From the moment we arrived, everything was outstanding — the service, the atmosphere, and especially our amazing butler Naveen and his assistant Faahim, who were simply exceptional: caring, professional, and incredibly attentive to every detail. We celebrated our daughter’s 10th birthday there, and the team made it absolutely perfect — so many lovely surprises, kind gestures, and attention to detail that we have never experienced anywhere else (and we travel a lot!). Even when our family caught a cold during the stay, our butler immediately arranged for a doctor to visit our villa and took care of everything with such kindness that words can’t describe our gratitude. One of the most unique and fun experiences on the island was the family treasure hunt — an amazing daily activity where all guests receive clues and search for hidden treasures around the island. It was so entertaining and beautifully organized! During our 10-day stay, we actually found the treasure once — and were as happy as excited kids! We also renewed our vows with a wedding ceremony for our 13th anniversary — it was breathtakingly beautiful, perfectly organized, and truly magical. We were twice in a la carte restaurant Trio, the food at this restaurant was so exquisite that it felt like dining in the finest restaurants of Paris or Rome. The airport lounge was excellent, and everything was handled seamlessly. Big thanks to Mr. Shanoon. What a can tell about Sun Siyam team - everything was flawless — a perfect holiday in every way. We can’t wait to return next year!

The most perfect week away with our two children. From the minute we arrived with a “welcome home” shoulders dropped and we all relaxed. We were made to feel so welcome by all the team but especially Shahu who made sure everything ran smoothly from sunset fishing trips to restaurant bookings. The room was beautiful and morning yoga won’t be the same until I get back to the lagoon-view deck. A perfect blend of enough to do to keep teenagers off phones, not so much that you can’t relax. We filled our days with snorkelling and didn’t have to go far from the house reef to see rays, non-scary reef sharks and beautiful coloured fish. The spa was great and thank you to Odi for looking after me during my treatments. Food was excellent and varied, everything just worked. We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful time at Iru Fushi. All the staff were so friendly and kind. Our butler Azzam and room attendant Tarek were fantastic. The food is delicious - we loved the Iru restaurant. The resort is not too big and it didn’t feel crowded with people but there was still plenty to do - snorkelling (we swam with turtles just off the beach!), windsurfing, banana boat as well as the recreation centre with pool, darts and table tennis. We went on the snorkelling expedition which was breathtaking! All in all a wonderful holiday - we would highly recommend this resort.

It was our 11th time to the Maldives but our first to Iru Fushi. We had an absolutely amazing time here! A fantastic 5* Resort. The staff truly make it an amazing experience. Special mentions go to Naveen, Faheem, Ashen and the pan cake man in the buffet restaurant (we didn’t take his name sorry!) - truly put a big smile on my children’s faces every morning. We started in a Beach Villa which was great but because they are doing some renovation works on the island the the resort then changed our room to a sunset horizon water Villa for the last 3 nights and wow what a room !! We did not want to leave! Whilst it was disappointing to only have 1 family swimming pool that was not directly on the beach the area here was lovely - albeit it could get very busy and people waiting for a sunbed - disappointing to see an adults on swimming pool that was never at full capacity where there were more sunbeds compared to the family pool. Maybe switch it around? Or even better with the resort being a family resort to change then both to family pools? If anyone wanted to visit the Maldives and only have adults then visit an adults only resort. Restaurants - we really enjoyed all the restaurants here in the island - the service and food were exceptional.

We returned to Iru Fushi for the third time and once again we had an absolutely wonderful time. The Maldives is simply magical and the Iru Fushi resort makes you feel as though you have reached your paradise home. Thahseen the butler as great again helping with any bookings and assisting whenever we had a questions. The Trio restaurant was our favourite and the service there exemplary. You really won’t have a bad drink, bad meal or be able to take a bad photo when in resort. The sea plane experience from start to finish in the lounge at Male is also fantastic. Thank you Iru Fushi, thank you Maldives, we will be back!
