Amazing from start to finish with an incredible unique landscape. Lovely professional staff who know guests by name, experienced and entertaining guides, phenomenal chefs who turned out dish after dish of delicious foods blending Australian ingredients with a modern twist, private “tents” with a view and a day spa. Definitely an oasis to experience! Would love to visit again someday. Thank you.

The best way to see this beautiful, very special part of the world

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Given the price, I had high expectations of Longitude 131, and I'm delighted to say they were more than met. This was my fourth visit to the red centre, and it's a great way to experience this very special part of the world. I loved my tent with its wonderful view of Uluru and its comfy bed, and I appreciated the well stocked fridge and the snacks. The food was great, and it was lovely to have my likes and dislikes accounted for. The service at the lodge is lovely, and the guides are also terrific. I particularly appreciated the way the guides planned excursions to avoid the crowds arriving on the big buses from Yulara - one of the reasons for spending the large chunk of money it costs to stay here is to enjoy Uluru and its surroundings in peace and quiet with much smaller groups of people. Two pieces of feedback: first, I didn't hear any warnings from the guides about the need for a hat/a fly net/sunscreen/adequate water, all of which are essential and should be given on arrival. Second, I was disappointed at the absence of input from indigenous people at Longitude 131: I would love to have heard the Aboriginal stories of the night sky, for example, which I've been told by indigenous guides on previous trips to the region. I'm aware that only basic versions of the creation stories can be told to visitors, but it was a shame that they were told by white guides, not by local people. Those two thoughts notwithstanding, I had a wonderful two days at Longitude 131, and loved all the thoughtful touches from the timing of excursions and the way staff knew all the guests' names to the packed lunch for my departing flight. I'll be coming back!

Unforgettable

This place is incredible. From the moment you arrive you are taken care of in every way. The staff was exceptional and the tour guides made it an unforgettable experience. We were only there two nights, but it felt like 5- we did so much and had such a great time. Tour guides, Tianna and Katie, made it even that much more memorable with their information and especially Katie's recitation of "My Country". The rooms are an experience, in and of themselves- a tent, but really, not a tent...luxurious and fully stocked. Sleeping out under stars on the last night was the icing on the cake. If you can get there- you should, absolutely, stay at this place. You will never forget it.

Absolutely stunning! Fantastic experience from beginning to end. The staff are amazing and made it look seamless! The resort considers everything in advance and truly goes the extra mile to make it as special as possible. No aspect of the resort has been overlooked.

Relaxing mode

In Uluru, we really enjoyed our time and this place was so relaxing and nice! You should bring a scarf as it can get quite cold :) Sit during sunset and watch the Uluru rock change hues of orange and red! Beautiful!
