Utterly relaxed sophistication is the essence of The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas, an oceanfront boutique property in Bali along Nusa Dua's spectacular bay. Located on the southernmost tip of Bali, the Nusa Dua peninsula is home to the region's most exclusive beach getaways, with white and golden sands, idyllic swimming waters, and Bali's most coveted golf course. The Mulia whisks you straight into this glorious paradise from the moment you enter its stunning open-air lobby, with adjacent oceanfront infinity pool stretching into the horizon. The expansive suite accommodations, each with its own individual style and set of lavish amenities, are the epitome of luxury. Thoughtful design reflective of the Balinese tradition surrounds you at every turn, with floor-to-ceiling windows, private plunge pools, plush bedding, and unobstructed views of the sea. Dedicated living areas are adorned with the finest furnishings, and ample outdoor spaces are equipped with soothing chaise lounges, and everything you need to soak in the illustrious scene.

The staff are very friendly and kind, they are very helpful and caring and it’s everything they do. Special shout out to suda, yogi and Gus Eka. And the best thing about this place is the massive pool with a bar that has lots of different varieties of drinks.

The holiday at The Mulia where we were for 8 days and Mulia Resort where we were for six days was outstanding. The room and suite were magnificent and spotless. The service was exceptional and every member of staff was kind, willing, friendly, professional and went above and beyond in every interaction. There are too many to mention by name but I will try. Debi, Bobi, Mahendra, Yogi, Suastama. Visra, Imam and all the others were so lovely. It felt like a home away from home. No request was too much for them. This was the best service we have ever received in the room, at the pool, in the restaurants, lounges, everywhere. We are so appreciative and can’t wait to return!

We recently spent 10 nights at The Mulia over the holidays and had a fantastic experience. We arranged our airport transfer through the hotel, which I highly recommend. They were punctual and coordinated with us via WhatsApp before we even touched down, which was a huge relief after the long flight. Arrival was seamless, and our room was ready immediately. We stayed in a Baron Oceanfront Suite, which felt very spacious for two people. The bathroom is impressive, featuring a large vanity with dual sinks, a deep soaking tub, a bidet, and plenty of amenities (and water bottles). The king bed was incredibly comfortable with high-quality linens. A major highlight was the balcony—it had a bistro set, a lounge for two, and a large hot tub with views over the pool to the ocean. Service was excellent throughout. Our assigned butler was on top of every request. A small tip: the in-room coffee machine uses Nespresso pods and comes with powdered creamer, but we requested almond milk and they brought it up promptly to keep in our fridge. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with access to three different restaurants: The Lounge (The Mulia): Our favorite. It has a small buffet plus a massive à la carte menu. We loved the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese sets, though they also have extensive western egg dishes and Indonesian options. The Living Room: Strictly à la carte (no buffet) and the smallest venue. It has a quieter atmosphere and outdoor tables with beautiful views. The Cafe (Mulia Resort): We tried this once. It’s a massive dining hall with a huge buffet covering many cuisines. It’s great for variety but definitely has a louder, more casual vibe. We also loved the daily "Afternoon Tea." A special thank you to Narez, who greeted us by name and room number every time. The spread includes buffet stations (meats, cheeses, sweets, and rotating hot Balinese dishes) plus a three-tier stand brought to your table. Cocktails and wine are included and well-made. Honestly, depending on your appetite, tea time can easily replace dinner—we often had to pace ourselves! The kitchen was also very accommodating regarding dietary needs/modifications. We ordered room service a few times; fees were reasonable, delivery was fast, and they were prompt about clearing the tray afterwards. Housekeeping and turndown were consistently efficient and worked around our schedule. As for the facilities: Beach & Pool: The beach at The Mulia is clean and felt exclusive; chairs are well-spaced and it never felt crowded (unlike the main Resort side, which looked busier). The pools were pristine, with staff constantly removing leaves. Fitness: The gym is well-equipped. We took part in sunrise yoga several times, which was fantastic. They also offer Pilates and aerial yoga. The gym was well used by guests, but never felt packed. Despite the hotel being fairly full for the holidays, it never felt cramped. The crowd was a mix of couples and families with older children (mostly pre-teens), and the atmosphere remained quiet and respectful. Overall, this was a "once in a lifetime" holiday thanks to the amazing facilities and the attentive staff. Big shoutout to the team—Yogi, Maehendra, Angga, Linda, Bagus, Anita, Okta, Reem, and Rosso among many warm smiling faces—who were so engaging and made us feel welcome. Hats off to the server who taught us how to say Matur Suksma (thank you) in Balinese. Highly recommended for lasting memories of a holiday!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! From the rooms, the staff, the pools, the foods, to attention to detail in design/architecture/decor was incredible. Our butler Gilbert was 1000/10! He went above and beyond to get me aloe Vera gel from outside the hotel because I had sunburn. They’re so accomodating and truly no request is too much. The value for money is exceptional! Thank you The Mulia xx
