Jamaica Inn is simply hard to match for friendly, welcoming hospitality at its best. The staff and owners are ever-present, ensuring your every request is attended too. The rooms are traditional, comfortable and well stocked. Furniture is homey and welcoming, especially on the generous patios. Very clean and well maintained too! The vibe - It's a very laid back place but still there is plenty to do and the staff are more than happy to work to accommodate your request. There is a decided family feel to the attention. Staff know you by your name and work hard to keep you happy and they are really well trained and friendly. Plenty of water sports, games and afternoon croquet is a must. This is not a party place, more reserved and about relaxation. The food is quite good, with plenty of variety and rotating specials. Two restaurants offer more formal and more causal options. You can also order room service. The bars are well stocked and you will never be thirsty. Nightly live music and weekly movies on the beach are fun. The location is a quiet oasis, and the views are spectacular. The grounds are lush and well maintained. Tours are offered to help you get to know the plants and animals too. Good spa and many of the treatment rooms face the water - pretty amazing. The small Ocho Rios airport is 15 minutes away. Kingston is 2 hours but much larger. Bottom line, this a place for relaxation, hanging on the beach or by the pool, reading a book, snorkling and napping. More adult tempo, no young kids and only one TV in the bar, mostly playing sports matches. We were very happy and will definitely be back.

It's a beautiful place. And it's genuinely a quite different hotel. It's steeped in history - and they work hard to maintain that 'feel' and culture. And they succeed. It's family-run and it shows - many hotels these days can be rather soulless - Jamaica Inn has bags of character and personal touches. The service, people and the food are all excellent. We loved it.

This place is truly a Paradise on earth. We were here for our honeymoon 20 years ago and had really precious memories of this special place. Happened to be in Ocho Rios after 20 years visiting a different property since we were traveling with kids. I called Jamaica Inn one of the days and explained to them that we would love to relive our honeymoon memories from 20 years back and see if they had any availability. Gerry from reservations went out of her way to make this happen and turned this dream into a reality. We were able to get Premier verandah Suite over the water booked. We had such wonderful experience to visit this gem of a place after 20 years and everything was just perfect. My two boys were so happy and loved the property so much they did not want to leave. The rooms, staff, food, drinks, breakfast in the room, everything about this place is just so beautifully done and truly exceptional. They made special decorations in the room for the 20th year anniversary which was a really nice touch to make the experience even more memorable. Once again kudos to Gerry and her staff. I cant wait to go back to this place for my 25 year wedding anniversary or maybe even earlier.

The nicest place I've ever been! I cannot recommend the Jamaica Inn more highly. The people are incredible and the setting is extraordinary!! I plan to come here every year for as long as possible. When you arrive at the Jamaica Inn, it feels like you've been transported back in time. Your stress melts away and you feel like you're in Heaven. Do yourself a favor and come here. You won't regret it!! I've been blessed to travel the world and the Jamaica Inn is as good as it gets!!

Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios is truly our home away from home. My husband and I are repeat guests, and every single time we return it feels like coming back to family. From the warm welcome to the heartfelt goodbyes, the staff is simply superior — gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. They make you feel known and cared for in a way that’s rare and so special. The food is exceptional. Every meal feels thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Dinner each night is made even more magical with live music, creating the perfect romantic island atmosphere. And cocktail hour? An absolute MUST. It’s the best way to unwind, meet other guests, and soak in the charm of the property. The beach is pristine — super clean, calm, and breathtakingly beautiful. We loved taking paddle boards out and floating peacefully in the crystal-clear water. One of our favorite indulgences is having breakfast delivered to our room and enjoying it on our private veranda with the sound of the ocean in the background. Pure bliss. Jamaica Inn is elegance without pretense, relaxation without compromise, and hospitality at its finest. We can’t wait to return again and again. 🌴✨
