My husband and I just spent eight nights in a Premier Verandah Suite at Jamaica Inn. The west wing rooms are directly over the water and we witnessed stunning sunsets and fed toast crumbs to tropical fish each morning. We had our honeymoon there in 1977 and have been repeat guests ever since. We love to travel, but the Inn always calls us "back home." There is nothing quite like this property. It's truly the only place I can totally relax, take an afternoon nap on the beach and wake up with the birds ready to enjoy my Blue Mountain coffee and banana bread. The property is small, genteel, timeless, elegant, but never stuffy. If you want loud music, televisions and a wild, party atmosphere, this isn't for you. Guests come here to unwind, bask in the sunshine, smell the sea, recharge and be pampered. The private beach is gorgeous and it's raked to perfection every morning. There are more than enough loungers and natural umbrellas to accommodate every guest. The lush grounds with palm trees and flowers are tended to by gardeners every day. They will even take you on a garden tour to learn about the native vegetation. Most of the common areas are in the open air. Storied hotel history whispers in every corner and it's been privately owned by the same family for over 75 years. Not a corporate or chain bone in its body. But what makes us keep coming back year after year is the entire staff. Many have been there for decades and have become like family. Reservations, the front desk, guest services, maintenance, cooks, (the soups are my favorite), housekeeping, bartenders, wait staff, chefs, pastry chefs (the breads are all homemade and the desserts are a work of art), the laundry, lifeguards, gardeners, managers, and drivers all work as a team flawlessly. You can mingle with other guests at the beach bar and play croquet, or just relax on your own. Enjoy a rum Planter's Punch on the beach promptly every morning at 11:00 and pretend you're a pirate. Eat lunch on the beach at Teddy's Bar and Grill, enjoy cocktails and live music nightly at dinner and maybe even get out on the dance floor. Have a massage at the award-winning spa inhaling lemongrass while listening to the waves. When you retreat to your room for the evening, your bed will be turned down, fresh towels will be hung and a cookie jar on the nightstand will hold a treat so you will have the sweetest dreams. Pure Bliss! Before you leave, you will be planning your next visit. Trust me.

I Have been a client at Jamaica inn for over 10 years. When they greet me "Welcome home" it is real. They continue to be friendly, courteous, respectful, efficient ,accommodating. The property is compact, immaculate. The beach is wonderful. The food is good and so is the spa. I bring friends and family for day trips. I dont think I need to say anything more.

We had such a wonderful stay at Jamaica Inn. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, welcoming, and genuinely special. Our room had a balcony with a beach view, and that alone made the experience unforgettable. Waking up every morning to the sound of the waves was incredibly peaceful. It didn’t feel like a typical resort stay. It honestly felt like being at home, just by the ocean. The staff really made this place stand out. Everyone we interacted with, whether it was at breakfast, on the beach, or housekeeping, was kind, warm, and attentive. A special mention to Xavier, the lifeguard, who was especially friendly and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. We also visited the spa, and it was such a calming, relaxing experience. It perfectly matched the overall peaceful vibe of the resort and was definitely one of the highlights for us. Another thing we loved was how thoughtfully the resort planned activities. We stayed for four nights, and every evening there was something going on. It kept things engaging. One of the most memorable touches was the nightly treats. Instead of the usual generic desserts, they gave something unique and local each evening. One night we had a coconut drop, a Jamaican dessert that was so simple yet incredibly delicious. These small, thoughtful details really made a difference. Also, a fun bonus. They have a dog named Shadow who is absolutely adorable. Spending time with her was such a sweet part of the experience. Overall, this stay felt personal, peaceful, and genuinely special. We would absolutely come back.

This is a very special place. We don’t often go back to the same hotel, but this is our second visit and won’t be the last. It’s difficult to fully explain the appeal, part of it is the old school, classic feel of the place, part of it is the fabulous beach, food and drink, but the biggest reason is the staff So a big thank you in particular to: Ash & Patrick for amazing drinks (already missing rum o’clock) Quaid - great service and introduced us to Spicy Mango Margaritas Gerry, Carter, Shalene & Romaro - rays of sunshine at breakfast Giovanni - a great trip out to sea with him Patience & the evening bar staff

We have visited the Inn Many times and it always lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere is comfortable but polished. The staff are superb. The food choices are very good. The beach is within steps of all of the rooms. A perfect relaxing vacation spot.
