An enchanting location just a few minutes from Otranto, surrounded by verdant olive groves and the azure Salento sea. The Baglioni Masseria Muzza is a magical historic property deep in the Salento countryside amid the Mediterranean flora, the fragrance of the olives, and the beautiful Adriatic beaches. It is a superlative blend of the simplicity of the old Puglia tradition and the excellence of luxury Italian hospitality in inimitable Baglioni style. The heart of the masseria is the 17th-century building: its rooms and suites in whitewashed limestone and exposed masonry exude an essential elegance, enhanced by the tasteful furnishings in classic Puglia style. And to make every stay even more unforgettable, the 3 restaurants offer Pugliese cuisine at its light, sophisticated best. With areas dedicated to tranquil contemplation amid the natural environs and refined design, guests can rest and refresh both body and mind at the exclusive Baglioni SPA. Immerse yourself in a world of enduring charm.

My friend and I stayed here in mid July. We were there 5 days and 4 nights. I selected this hotel because of the ratings; however, based on our stay I would say the service was absolutely exemplary but the hotel itself was not. Pros Beautiful property Excellent service Beautiful room Shuttles to coco bay beach and to the town of Otranto Breakfast at the restaurant was lovely Cons About an hour from Brindisi airport Unless you rent a car or hire a driver you are pretty much stuck at the hotel. Housekeeping was not really cleaning the room. Tidying yes cleaning no. If they would’ve, they would have realized that my friend’s shower was clogged. Because I called about bugs I felt bad calling about the drain in the room. Room had bugs. I had to call on 3 different occasions bc of the bugs. The lights in the rooms had bugs in them. The pool was littered with twigs/branches. I wanted to love this hotel but after considering how much we spent for a two bedrooom two bath suite those things should have been a non issue. I really loved and appreciated the staff and felt guilty for even voicing my concerns but if the hotel really wants to be a 5 star hotel and justify its prices then they need to pay attention to every detail, every nuance big or small, everything. I would like to visit again because of the staff and GM but not until they address and correct the issues they have.

This was the highlight of our 2 week trip. A very relaxing and peaceful setting outside of Otranto's hustle and bustle. Great service from the front desk to the restaurants and support staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Shuttle service to town was a breeze although having a car is helpful if you want to explore Lecce or other places in the south of Puglia. Rooms were spacious and pool delightful and uncrowded. Beach clubs nearby can be booked through the hotel. I'm a big fan of this resort and the area surrounding it.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week with another couple in the Salento suite using it as a homebase to explore the region. The resort is very peaceful and serene with incredible sunsets. But the highlight of this resort must be the staff and the concierge service weeks before we arrived. We were sending emails to plan restaurants, bike rentals, day trips, shuttles, boat trips, and much more. The staff are kind, patient knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed all of their restaurant recommendations in Otranto and Lecce. I can’t praise them highly enough - we felt so well taken care of. They really are the best! The resort is very relaxing, and the pool is very nice - sitting and reading a book at taking in the beautiful view. The resort is “off the grid” and so you can relax - it serves as a gateway to the rest of the region - shuttles are quick and easy to the town of Otranto as well as Cocoa Bay beach club. Just know that the beach club is more of a public beach with lots of different vendors, kids, lots of people - so if you want a more private or exclusive beach club experience there are those options a bit further out which we really enjoyed. We didn’t use the Spa but it looked very nice - the gym is quite small - treadmill and light weights. But we were there to relax. Thank you again to the staff for an incredible week!!

We went with friends and stayed five days in this beautiful hotel. All the staff were very good at speaking English and always willing to help with anything. We were in a duplex room and everything was spotless. All amenities from the pool to the restaurant to the bars were absolutely tiptop. Not a lot in the immediate area to do so you need a car but the shuttle bus down into Otranto was very good.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful from the rooms to the grounds and restaurant. The hotel staff and service provided were exceptional. My only complaint was the air conditioning could have been a bit higher. I cant wait to come back!
