A memory to last a lifetime

We visited in March to celebrate a special birthday for my wife. We had such a great time that we booked this stay to celebrate our 20th Wedding anniversary. So often, when you repeat an experience, the second one doesnt live up to the memory of the first. In this case, it certainly did. It is an exceptional place. The staff are unbelievably good. Nice people, well trained. The rooms are beyond imagination until you see them. The food is simply the best. We have dined in many Michelin-starred restaurants (one and two star) and the experience provided by Le Manoir exceeds all others. It is impossible for me to convey how good the experience was using just words, and we both look forward to our third visit.

Wow, wow and WOW!!!

An absolute gem of a hotel. Architecture is beautiful, restaurant terrific, rooms incredible, and service is simply outstanding. What’s not to love? We were upgraded to the “Lace” room which was spectacular on all levels. Perfectly appointed, enormous, best bathroom ever with huge steam shower, amazing bed. We were welcomed with an incredible lemon cake that was to die for. Dinner at their restaurant was excellent, as was service, although I’d prefer lower lighting. A bit too bright for such a fine dining restaurant in our view. Breakfast was superb with terrific offerings. Stopped at the Aston Martin museum on the way there, as it’s just 15 minutes away. A fun diversion. Yes, this hotel is expensive, but worth it on so many levels. Treat yourself to something really special.

Exquisite!

We had a truly magical time at Le Manoir! Our room was so spacious and comfortable with a huge sitting room and they had everything you could possibly need including tea kettle and tea pot, nesspresso machine, fresh cream every day and night. The bed and bed linens were the most luxurious, felt like sleeping on a cloud! The food at Le Manoir is scrumptious! From the cookies we were served with our tea upon arrival, they were not just cookies, each one was an experience, delicate and so flavorful! We had lunch on the beautiful terrace and enjoyed the fish and chips and burger and fries while soaking in the stunning views. The fish and chips were the best I had while in England and I tried quite a few. The breakfast was exceptional! The food again was outstanding and each dish was an experience from the fresh pastries, made by the pastry chef every morning, to the eggs Benedict with the lightest, freshest sauce I’ve ever tasted! The service at this hotel is first class! Every person treats you like royalty and cannot do enough to make your stay perfect! The grounds at Le Manoir are spectacular! We enjoyed walking around all the different gardens, ponds and orchards! This was not just a hotel stay this was a magical experience!
