A Very Memorable Birthday Brunch @ CALETA
Wow, I am very glad I decided to stop for brunch here on my 34th birthday. Initially, it was pretty grandiose from the street, so I just peered into the window, but when we saw diners we decided to tour the lobby/patio out back and see the menu. The prices very reasonable especially seeing as I just flew in from NYC. The staff was very professional and attentive, and not overly-energetic/pushy as I experience in the states often. The food was great, our waitress Maryin recommended the smoked salmon over the hojaldre (traditional Panamanian fried dough), it absolutely was worth stopping in for. The ambience of the restaurant, live music, and service.made this a memorable birthday experience. I was surprised with a delicious dessert with a candle and was serenaded. The manager even read my mind as I stood up to find the restroom and guided me and opened the door. Special thanks to our waitress Maryin, as well as Karla and Mayte for the custom experience and parting gift, a post card with a personalized note - I did not realize this used to be the 'Club Union.' I will recommend my friends/family visit here when visiting Panama.

Caleta brunch
The food was really good, it appears to be well thought out, with detail and passion. The coffee is really good quality. The interior design of the hotel and Restaurant is beautiful. The service, by Gabriel, was outstanding. Absolutely impressed and cant wait to comeback. We had breakfast and lunch, coffee, wine and dessert.

Historic charm, modern twist
Very good ambient, food and service, our waiter Gabriel was super friendly, helpful and even prepared a detail for my mother’s birthday on his own initiative. 11/10
