Rooms and common areas need to be updated. Furniture is worn out and bathroom fixtures are as well. Carpets in many area are in badd shape.

Needs updating!
Our stay at The Cove at Atlantis was unfortunately very disappointing. The rooms are in serious need of updating, and the adults-only pool area also feels dated which was surprising for a resort at this price point. Check-in set the tone for our stay. The front desk staff was not very helpful regarding an early check-in (which we ultimately did not receive). Our first room had major issues — the AC unit made a loud, constant screaming noise and the refrigerator didn’t work. Instead of replacing it properly, they brought in an old black mini fridge that looked ratty and smelled strongly like fish. When we requested to be moved, we were told we couldn’t switch rooms until an engineer confirmed the AC problem, which delayed things even more. As a result, our entire first day at The Cove was spent dealing with room issues rather than enjoying our vacation. For the price and reputation, we expected much better. The rooms and adult pool area need major updating, and guest service — especially when there are legitimate room problems — should be more responsive and accommodating.
