Hotel Lutetia is an iconic landmark situated in the vibrant Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris and the only luxury Palace hotel on the city's Left Bank. Originally opened in 1910, the building's design was a daring move from Art Nouveau to the emerging style of Art Deco. The Lutetia delivers an authentic Parisian experience and has been at the heart of the local community for more than 100 years. The hotel now features an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and lounges throughout the historical ground floor including the iconic Brasserie Lutetia and Bar Joséphine. Unique to the area, Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is Lutetia's 700 sqm/7,500 sqft spa dedicated to wellbeing and fitness and featuring a 17m swimming pool bathed in natural daylight.

I am not someone who usually writes hotel reviews, it takes a truly disappointing experience to push me to do so. I have been a regular guest at Hôtel Lutetia Paris for many years. I love the building, the location, and the Left Bank charm, I even got married here, which says a lot about my attachment to this hotel. This Valentine’s weekend, I booked a two-night staycation. The room was nice with a pleasant view, despite the small size for a hotel of this standing (nearly €2k a night). Unfortunately, what truly ruined the experience was the service, or rather, the lack of it. The day before arrival, I called to ensure flowers would be delivered before check-in. I was told someone would call me back. No one did. The next morning, I spent over 15 minutes on hold trying again. Still nothing. We arrived with no flowers. I also mentioned several times, when booking and again at the front desk that I had gotten married at the hotel. I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, just a small gesture or even a note. There was nothing. The concierge confirmed a Valentine’s dinner reservation at Atelier Joël Robuchon for 9pm. When I went back at 6pm to double-check, I was told the reservation did not exist in their system. We had to find another restaurant last minute on one of the busiest nights of the year. Couldn’t find anything and end up in local restaurant nearby. On Sunday, we planned to spend the day at the spa only to discover it was closed during Valentine’s weekend, with no prior communication whatsoever. To make matters worse, guest relations later called to say my room-service Caesar salad was “complimentary.” Frankly, offering a salad after a stay filled with service failure felt lame and almost insulting. It took the disappointment in my spouse’s eyes, and a completely ruined weekend, for me to finally write this review. The hotel itself remains beautiful. But luxury is defined by service, anticipation, and attention to detail and in this regard, Lutetia has seriously fallen short. While other luxury hotels like Cheval Blanc or George V continue to raise the bar, Lutetia appears to be going backwards.

Recently had the great fortune to stay from Feb 16-23, 2026. This was a part business and part vacation trip. I arrived around 8 am. Even though I am a Pearl member, I dont take for granted anything. I know check in isnt until much later. Violette informed me that my room was in fact ready and checked me in very efficiently (in my room). My room was also upgraded by 2 classes. very grateful to Lutetia. Room was of course magnificent by any and every measure with 3 balconies. This early check in allowed me to get started after I checked in and take advantage of every moment in Paris. Housekeeping services outstanding. Throughout my stay, guest services and housekeeping checked in daily (I wish I got everyone's names but did write down a number of those who I met- apologies for any names misspelled- Juan, Abbede, Imin, Nenon) The bellment were always very friendly and attentive and made sure I had what I needed (an umbrella for exampe when it was raining, warnings of slippery steps) thanks to Jean and Romdhane- wish I got names of everyone.) Cheyenne let me know of the car service that would collect me on the morning of Feb 23. I appreciated the Pastry teams bonbons on Feb 22. Mario brought me my breakfast that morning to save me some time. Checkout was as effecicient as Check-in (thank you Florian) I will return in June and look forward to staying again at the Lutetia

Really exceptional service! The hotel is well appointed. Public spaces on guest floors are dramatic due to mirrored and reflective ceilings, which do a great job of camouflaging the low ceilings. We were there to celebrate a big birthday. The staff members seemed to know and wished me a good birthday. The guest services people had left a personal happy birthday note, the special happy birthday pillow, balloons, fruit, water. The bathroom was large with a double sink, tub and separate spacious shower. The toilet’s bidet features were appreciated. The bed was firm, as we like it, and it we loved being able to “order” firm pillows to our taste. The concierge went out of his way to find us a restaurant with cassoulet open on a Tuesday evening. Breakfast was good, but in-room dining for breakfast (our last morning) was terrific. The gym is relatively large and well equipped, and the pool is suitable for swimming laps. In the bar late one evening, we arrived after the kitchen had closed. The waiter arranged for us to order from the room service menu, so that the food would be ready right after we finished our drink and arrived at the room. Just a wonderful and delightful stay. I would go back there for sure

Our stay at The Lutetia was perfect. I am obsessive about hotels and The Lutetia satisfied in every way. I also travel to Paris frequently and have stayed in many of the great hotels and The Lutetia is my new favorite. The building itself is a beautiful old grande dame lovingly restored with stunning public spaces. The hotel is perfectly located on the Left Bank. The rooms have been renovated in a lovely understated manner and are extremely comfortable and not fussy. I asked for and got a room with two balconies and a magical view of the Eiffel Tower. The service was impeccable, timely and helpful and truly welcoming.
