About the Hotel

Dating back to a Paris of style and opulence, Hotel Napoleon is one of the city's most exquisite hideaways. Presented in 1928 to the Countess de Bobigny as a wedding gift from her husband, this Art Deco masterpiece, exuding the ambience of a private townhouse, immediately gained favor with privacy-seeking celebrities such as Errol Flynn, Orson Wells and Josephine Baker. The tradition continues today at this intimate luxury haven, offering an enviable location overlooking the Arc de Triomphe and the Avenue de Champs-Elysées and serving as an elegant host to savvy travelers.

Business stay for conference

Felt because I had made a booking vi Booking.com, my room was tucked away in a dark corner of the hotel. It had a bad odour. Breakfast was very expensive for what it was. Ambience of the breakfast room was very pleasant. Front desk customer service was execllent.

It’s centrally located, steps from the Arc de Triomphe, and the staff is super nice and attentive. We had a great time.

Nice View and Location

The room was a nice size and had a very nice view. The Staff that helped us to our room gave us instructions on how to use the iPad for all the hotel amenities . We had a very large shower and tub with a his and her sink bathroom which also had a bidet . We were in room 301 when you enter this room there is a small hall to the main room with a toilet only on the left. This is where we had the problem. This is a 5 star hotel . I expect it not to stink of urine and I or my husband could not enter that bathroom without gaging. We called the front desk several times before they sent housekeeping which did nothing . It had nothing to do with cleaning it was with plumbing. Then later in the day a gentleman came and place some liquid down the sink drains. That help a little I placed a towel in the sink covering both holes so the stink could not come back into the room. That night the toilet began to over fill with water and again I called the desk they sent someone up. He said they would have to have plumbers look in morning I said that wouldn't do that was our only bathroom . So he went looking for a plunger and came back and temporarily unclog it. It was not fixed the next person is sure to have the same problem and I pity them because it's a lot of money to spend to stay in those conditions . My husband became ill and we had to end our vacation early I have no idea if it was after inhaling all that toxic waste but we left for home and he was put into the hosiptal for septic . Thank goodness we had trip insurance.

A good 4 star hotel but definitely not 5 star

Family long weekend break at Easter. We had an underwhelming experience at check in, with the staff more interested in chatting to each other than greeting us and helping us . The room was quite good, we had a suite set up for 2 adults and a 12 year old, although the sofa bed was uncomfortable, ew did ask for a topper twice but never appeared. The suite was at the rear overlooking the courtyard , very quiet, unless you ere in the bathroom and you could clearly here the conversation through the wall from the room next door. Other issues with the set up, soft drinks provided were only for 2, never 3 drinks of the same on offer, paper cups to use with the coffee machine, just awful and no complimentary snacks or biscuits - remember this was a suite in an a 5 star hotel! The staff at breakfast were very welcoming and helpful, no menu though if you required cooked eggs, poached ,fried, omelette, why? Also, the scrambled eggs in the buffet, they were made from powdered egg! The pastries and croissants at breakfast, so small, tasteless, not much variety on offer. When we passed a boulangerie we experienced quality croissants and pastries yet a 5* hotel offered poor quality. Why no fresh baguettes at breakfast, very strange bread offering. The hall porter was very kind and helpful, organising taxis and providing advise when needed, shame the concierge or reception staff were so unhelpful. Checking out, same issue, over 6 staff on reception, quite rude, unhelpful did not even ask how our stay was? Whilst waiting to return to Eurostar, we had a wait in reception, tables were cluttered and not cleared of dirty crockery, the complimentary water was empty and the complimentary chocolate was being offered to all except us, I had to ask for our daughter to be served - why. Remember over 6 staff loitering around reception not busy. We are a mixed race family from England, I can honesty say , as someone who travels extensively globally on business and vacations, this was appalling passive racial discrimination experienced by us. For the money, there are far better 4 * star plus hotels in Paris, providing better room facilities, breakfast offering and genuine staff who care ( Hilton, Radisson etc). No we would not return, and I've also advised my Company not to book thsi hotel for any staff business trips.

We loved the hotel and it's location! It was our first trip to Paris, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast and especially the coffee was great!

The Hotel Napoleon was the best. Off our balcony we had a view of the Arc de' Triomphe from one side and the Eiffel Tower from another side surrounded by a panoramic view of Paris. The service at the hotel was five-star and we had a wonderful time.

Our stay in Paris at The Napolean was fabulous. Everything was perfect, and the concierge was very helpful. My boyfriend and I especially loved the balcony looking out to the Arc de Triomphe. Very romantic...
