Le Grand Hôtel has delighted citizens from all around the world, stimulated artists, and celebrated victories. The Grand Hotel is the meeting place for all those who think grand. The Grand Hotel looks afar. From our 458 rooms and 90 suites, you can see either the Paris Opera House, the Eiffel Tower or look out over the rooftops of Paris. To be grand is also to be close. Reviews for InterContinental Paris Le Grand

Excellent in all respects

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

This is a beautiful classic hotel in the centre of Paris, surrounded by the best shopping that the city has to offer. Printemps is just around the corner and the Palais Garnier is right opposite. Could not be better. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are first class. We will be back.

This hotel is first class all the way, from the moment you check in till the day you depart. Nice rooms, excellent location next to Opera house and walking distance to the Louvre. Club lounge is exceptional and all staff incredibly friendly.

New purchased items STOLEN from our closet in the room!!! - Disappointing Experience at Intercontinental Paris Le Grand

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I recently completed a stay at the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, an IHG Hotel, from 12 April 2024 to 19 April 2024. My niece and I were guests in a Junior King Suite with Balcony (Room 1202) for 7 nights. While our experience commenced on a high note, it was marred by unsettling incidents in the last two days, culminating in a theft from our room that was handled poorly by the hotel staff, leaving us profoundly disappointed and concerned for future guests. Our stay was pleasant until we noticed odd movements of our belongings post-housekeeping from 17 April. The shuffling of toiletry items and the repositioning of personal items were minor yet irritating disruptions to our organized space. Regrettably, this issue escalated dramatically on 18 April. We returned in the evening to find our belongings significantly displaced, prompting us to report this to the housekeeping management, who offered a mere apology and a promise for a better next stay. However, the situation took a serious turn for the worse when we discovered that a pair of custom-made Golden Goose trainers, newly purchased by my niece (costed 590€) , were missing from our closet. It was evident that during their turn-down service, housekeepers had accessed the closet, unintentionally revealing their entry by misplacing items. Despite promptly reporting the theft to receptionist Pierre and diligently following up, our efforts to resolve this distressing situation were met with lukewarm responses and procedural delays. The lack of follow-up, accountability, and proper communication from the hotel staff was disheartening. Even after extensive discussions with reception staff, including a particularly dismissive interaction with Yingxi, we were left without a resolution or even a basic acknowledgment of the breach of our security and trust. We had to insist on reporting the theft to the police via an online form, a process we navigated without adequate assistance from the staff. This experience has highlighted a concerning lack of concern for guest security, belongings, and overall satisfaction. An apology or acknowledgment from hotel management has not been forthcoming, adding insult to injury. Our demands for a resolution, including compensation for the stolen item, have been met with silence. It is with regret that I must highlight these issues publicly, as our attempts to resolve them privately were disregarded. A hotel of the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand's reputation should hold itself to the highest standards of guest service, security, and responsiveness. Unfortunately, our experience was far below these expectations.

Beautiful Hotel but …..

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed at The IHG Grand Hotel for a long weekend & thoroughly enjoyed it save for one aspect which I will refer to shortly. The hotel is superbly located close to shops & facilities including the Paris Opera House. The feel of the hotel is sumptuous, calm and totally safe. A little haven amid the Parisian bustle. Our room, albeit small, was beautifully appointed & spotless. Our welcome on arrival was warm as was the manner of the reception staff on departure. I now turn to the room service. We had breakfast in bed each morning which arrived punctually at the time we requested. The waiters were respectful and courteous. If that had been repeated throughout this would have been a Five Star review. We got back to the hotel on the Saturday late afternoon and I was feeling light headed through lack of sugar. We decided to have afternoon tea at Le Cafe de Paix. There was a queue of only 4 people ahead of us so assumed we would be taken to a table quite soon. We waited in the queue and we waited and we waited. The staff could see there was a line forming and despite available tables, no waiter or maitre d’ approached any guest in the queue. They saw us but ignored everyone. We decided to leave after 10 minutes of this ignorant behaviour and to order room service at the reception. We stressed the urgency and were assured that a chocolate cake and two glasses of wine would be sent to our room immediately. One hour later and nothing arrived. But this time I was very faint so ate whatever I could find in the room to avoid passing out. We rang room service. We were then subjected to a game of cat & mouse! To begin with, room service pretended they didn’t understand English. We kept trying to explain but were interrupted by them saying they couldn’t understand. After overcoming this nonsense, because they clearly did but were playing a game and just being awkward, they denied the existence of any order having been given to them. We then tried to place the order again and it was at this stage that our patience was really tested. The person to whom we spoke originally, passed the phone to a colleague on the basis that he was confused! The new person also played the same game with us of pretending he could not understand English. I was very annoyed by this repeated ignorance and eventually told him to forget the order completely and put the phone down. 30 minutes later a piece of chocolate cake was delivered to our room accompanied by a carton of ice cream and a spoon! I have rarely been so exasperated by an hotel’s room service but they were rude and insolent. Hence, we have marked down the hotel which is a real shame.

Mixed experience at Intercontinental Le grand

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

InterContinental Le Grand boasts a great location and excellent cleanliness, thanks to attentive housekeeping. However, our request to change rooms due to noise issues went unfulfilled. Our room located next to service room. And i tried to explain to the reception that i just had long delayed flight and needed quiet room to rest and the reception wasn't as helpful as expected. Overall, it was an okay stay, but improvements in customer service would enhance the experience.
