Superb well located hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed 4 nights in this quality, superbly located hotel. The outstanding facilities included a great gym and swimming pool on the -1 level. Freebie electric bikes at the front desk were a fantastic way to visit the famous nearby landmarks such as the Louvre, Notre Dame cathedral & Musee D’Orsay. ( very good ,safe bike tracks ) Front desk staff provided good service with appropriate attention and action for reasonable requests. Comfortable rooms ,with my advice to arrange a riverside and Eiffel tower room view as high as available - well worth any price adjustment. Exceptional Boulangerie just beyond the entrance of the hotel at the rear ( not the riverside entry)

Very Experienced Luxury Travelers With Very High Praise for Our Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife came on business and I tagged along. We have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world for many years. I normally don't write reviews but I had to write one for this hotel. We are staying here for 6 days (this is day 5), and from the moment we arrived, we have been met with perhaps the most impressive service we have ever experienced at a hotel. What does that mean to me? Without exception, the staff is knowledgable, helpful, efficient, not just friendly but warm and relaxed, and most of all genuinely caring. Room service is impeccable and quick. Our air conditioning malfunctioned two nights in a row, and a service tech was here within minutes both nights. Even he showed a level of care and concern (and very hard work). He fixed it the first night but it malfunctioned again the next night. Without any prompting from us, a manager called our room immediately and offered to move us two rooms down the hall. The AC was fixed though and we didn't want to bother to move. We are sometimes pretty particular (aka picky) people with very specific needs. Every one of our needs was met with pleasure, warmth, and most of all, perfection. We are so impressed by the combination of professionalism and down-to-earthiness. From the special tea we requested each night at the lobby bar, to the one perfect table for dinner we requested and were given, to the staff's follow up on many of our requests to see if we were satisfied...I could go on, because every staff person was so warm and caring. Even the woman who cleaned our room noticed the tea kettle was leaking and took it upon herself to call for someone to bring a replacement before she left the room. I could list a dozen or more small things the staff has done that exhibited completely unobtrusive attentiveness. If this level of service -- most of all, the level of unpretentious and totally professional care and concern is due to training and somehow it is not genuine, then kudos to the trainers! What is also so interesting is that the entire staff is very young. None of the people we've seen could possibly be old enough to have been in the hotel field for more than 10-15 years, or so it seems. To be so exquisitely well cared for without the slightest bit of urging, in such a relaxed and easy way is truly special and highly unusual. The fact that this staff is almost entirely comprised of people (who appear to be) in their 20s and 30s just fascinates and intrigues me. As for the hotel itself: clean, comfortable, great bedding, quiet. The toilet room -- in our style room anyway -- could use a design improvement. No fan and a door that only springs shut and can't be left open but also closes with a thud. I could pick on a few other small design flaws IMO, but no big deal, really.

Excellent luxury option in Paris at a good value

My husband and I visited here with our infant son. We had a wonderful stay! The staff was excellent and very professional. The bellmen were some of the best I've ever experienced which was very helpful for our departure to an early train. The room service staff was also excellent. Room was well-appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable - we all got a great sleep! Our room faced onto the courtyard so it didn't have the famous views, but we were fine with this as it was nice and quiet. The rooms are a very good size for Paris and location was great - we walked to the Marais and the Luxembourg Gardens in the same day with a baby. Highly recommend a Studio if possible.

Yes, it's nice!

It was a great place with spectacular views, I liked the bold style and references to Sonia Rykiel. It was easy to have the club in-house. The bar downstairs is nice too; just a small suggestion to make it better. Put some new / more niche coffee table books in there!
