Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg

Location is best ! room is clean, bed is comfy . With coffee machine , great balcony! Hotel staffs are all kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet is very good too!

This is a great hotel in an almost perfect location in the 8th "District" of Paris. The staff got everything right from remembering coffee preferences, to the concierge going above and beyond to secure last minute tickets to sold out tours. The only downside is that ALL of the shops are nearby so you never go out without being enticed.

Terrible Experience – Not What You Expect From a 5-Star Hotel We were really looking forward to our stay at Sofitel Le Faubourg, but it ended up being one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, things went wrong. The staff was cold and unhelpful, and we were made to wait over an hour just to check in. The hotel was extremely hot and stuffy, especially in the reception area. There’s no working AC, which made everything feel sweaty and uncomfortable. We had booked a suite, but the room was old, awkwardly laid out, and just felt run down. There was barely any space to walk around the bed, and the door would hit the light fixture when opening — super awkward and honestly kind of unsafe. When we asked to change rooms, they downgraded us to a junior suite without telling us. That room also had no working AC, and then the shower broke. Every time we asked for help, the staff either didn’t respond or gave us the runaround. No one took responsibility or tried to fix anything. Things got so bad that my pregnant wife ended up in tears, and we finally decided to leave the hotel early and check into the Rosewood next door, which was a completely different (and amazing) experience. If you’re looking for a true luxury stay in Paris, do not stay here. It’s not worth the stress, the money, or the disappointment.

The staff were quite friendly and the location was convenient for our purposes, but the room was rather small. Breakfast was a problem one day since the hotel had too many guests to fit into the breakfast room. That shouldn't happen in a hotel of this category. Also, there was a bit of a misunderstanding in the restaurant, and the prices are relatively high. I'mnot sure I would go back.

Despite its central setting, the hotel feels peaceful and refined, offering the perfect balance between city energy and quiet comfort. From check-in to check-out, the service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional. A special thank you to Lyla from the Guest Service Office—her thoughtful support, kindness, and attention to detail made our stay especially memorable. She truly elevated our experience. Overall, Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg exceeded our expectations. With its outstanding location, refined design, and world-class service, it’s the ideal choice for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Paris in comfort and style. We will definitely return.
