It's a gorgeous hotel, with beautiful grounds. For such an expensive hotel, however, I expected more for the rooms. Our room was in the Lanai annex. The hallway was rather spartan with somewhat worn carpeting. (The main hotel building was much nicer.). Our room overlooked the construction entrance, but that was ok. However, the refrigerator door was broken, so it never cooled. The air conditioning broke so the room was like 80 degrees. Maintenance came quickly, however, and fixed the air conditioning, but I took hours to cool down (this was nighttime, so I couldn't just leave). The refrigerator was never fixed. Oddly, housekeeping just left bundled sheets on top of my things, which I had moved out of the way. No huge deal, but for $400 plus a night, I expected more attention to detail. My family and I celebrated a dinner at the Rolls Royce restaurant in a private space. The tag was north of $3K, so, again, we expected decent service. We didn't get it. The large table was short 2 seats (which had been reserved), and the wait staff just left 2 members of our party standing around for 40 minutes while they tried to locate chairs. Drink orders were forgotten more than once. And after one person asked about a Bellini order, she was told--not asked--she was getting a mimosa instead because they were out of peach liquor. It was a very odd experience. We still had fun, and the food was delicious. We just expected more. For the price tag, I would go elsewhere. A word about prices. They're high. $6 for coffee and then another $6 to add cream or milk? Come on. In sum, this is a nice hotel, but a bit dated. The staff (excepting the restaurant) were all very welcoming. I just think they need to kick things up a notch in light of the prices charged.

This hotel is truly a classic. It is grand and beautiful. The people who work here know how to pamper.

The hotel facilities and room were excellent, offering luxurious comfort and elegance. The food was also exceptional, with a variety of delicious options. Additionally, the property itself is stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend The Langham for anyone visiting Pasadena and looking for a truly remarkable experience.
