Have stayed here several times previously and it never disappoints. I’ve been lucky enough to stay in many top hotels all around the world and this one is amongst the top three including the Four Seasons and Fairmont hotels. From the reception staff, the foyer, the swimming pool complex, the restaurants and casino all top class including the Service. The bars and lounges are in keeping with a five star Property and the rooms themselves are not only spacious and well appointed but again some of the best rooms I’ve stayed in including suites, and I cannot praise it highly enough. Crown Towers Perth, thank you

I stayed here for a week as part of my Ashes package. It certainly wasn’t the cheapest option, but I am so pleased I made the choice. It is ideally situated, 10-15 mins stroll from the stadium. From being greeted on arrival by a concierge who looked after my bags, a speedy check in to being in my room took less than 15 mins. The rooms are spacious, large bed, sofa and floor to ceiling windows. The only disappointment for me was that I didn’t get a river view. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge array of offerings to suit both European and Asian tastes. The only (part) negative comment I would make is that when being seated you are asked if you want tea or coffee and this is brought cup by cup to your table, meaning if you want another you have to catch the eye of one of the staff and ask for a refill. There are several restaurants in the complex, all serving good quality reasonably priced food. There is a casino as part of the complex too, not for me but was always full. There are a number of pools with plenty of sun beds and parasols, never an issue finding a spot, as I had a few days at my disposal due the early finish at the cricket. The staff were, to a man (and woman) a credit to themselves and the hotel.

We stayed here for the cricket first test of the Ashes. It was very busy as lots of other people stayed for the same reason. We were told we had been upgraded and had a beautiful view from our room. The staff were really pleasant and helpful, particularly Lucy at the poolside bar. The service from that bar was excellent and the food was very good. We also enjoyed the live music in the piano bar.

We very much enjoyed this great Hotel Crown Towers at Perth. The more than big room was very beautiful and elegant. We spent a lot of time at the huge balcony with super views to the Swan River, skyline and the surrounding hills. The check in at Crystal Club Lounge is easy, fast and it is very quiet there. The staff at Crystal Lounge is very friendly. There we had breakfast and drinks. For dinner we always went to the Epicurean Restaurant. The food is very good there and the choice is huge of different kind of fishes, beef and chicken for example. Also around the tables there the staff is very friendly too. The swimming pools with so many palm trees are very nice. We were happy to have the chance to use the Gym and to play at the big Casino with easy and fast access without staircases or elevators. We should have stayed longer in this very beautiful Hotel but we really hope to come back there again in the very near future.

First impressions are stunning - a huge lobby, pool, spacious rooms. Even with 2 adults and 2 teens sharing the twin beds were just about big enough, which isn’t always the case. We had a gorgeous view of the city and river. Where it falls down is the practical stuff (ie the stuff that matters). A captive audience with few other walkable alternatives means that breakfast at Epircurean is an eye-watering $54 per head (more at weekends) and room service also very expensive with a large surcharge. And for that the basics (coffee and croissants) are not even good. The croissants and pastries are not fresh. We eventually found a cheaper evening dining venue at the Promenade hotel but even that was $160 for a very simple meal for two and a glass of wine. The room cost $400 more on the Saturday night, and we assumed this was due to increased staff costs. The hotel was very busy with international rugby at the Optus Stadium and weddings etc. we had the worst service all week on that day - no housekeeping *at all* and we had to ring down twice for toilet paper and basics to be refreshed. I don’t expect fresh towels and sheets every day but at $600+ a night (and $1000+) I don’t think it’s outrageous to expect the bed to be made and fresh toilet paper and body wash topped up when we were out of the room 10am-4pm most days. Also if the towels aren’t going to be replaced every day (again, ok) give me somewhere to hang them up to dry at least. And with the pool being such a big feature of the hotel, where to put wet swimsuits? Some extra hooks or rails for this in the bathroom would be useful! Lastly, very little storage space in the room. There was a lot of space in the room but a lot of it empty - and we filled it with our open suitcases, which we had to live out of because there was no space to put much away. Maybe for two people for a couple of nights it would be ok but for 2+ and a longer stay it wasn’t well planned. We had a good experience with massages in the spa but again it’s twice the price you’d expect if you went to a decent spa elsewhere. The “Crown surcharge”. And the spa pool looked lovely but was full of people. Overall we had a good stay but the price is way more than is reasonable for lacklustre service and lack of practical amenities. We’d stay in the Perth CBD next time, or, more likely, go overseas and enjoy better service for the same price.
