This is a quality hotel in every way. The lobby is spacious and bright leading to restaurants and bars. The reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. Many hotels in Australia seem to lack adequate numbers of lifts, not this one. There are four lifts which are fast and efficient and there is very little time wasted waiting for a lift. The rooms are very well appointed with good wardrobe space. Water is supplied in special bottles which can be refilled in the lobby which is a nice touch. The bed is large and comfortable although you may have to ask for a softer pillow. The walk in shower is excellent. There is a safe in each room and the WiFi is very good. Everything is kept spotlessly clean by the hard working housekeeping team which includes a robot vacuum cleaner patrolling the corridors. The walls of the rooms are a little thin and noisy neighbours can be an issue but the reception staff are very understanding and will find you a new room on request. They will also do all they can to offer, at a cost, extensions to your stay in your room if catching a later flight. A whole restaurant, Monty’s, is given over to providing breakfast. It is an excellent experience as the staff are very friendly and there is a wide range of cold and hot dishes on offer. A good way to start the day. The buses running into the city and on to the botanic gardens stop just outside the hotel but most sights are in walking distance, indeed the Perth Mint is just round the corner. All in all, a perfect base for visiting this attractive and stylish city.

Our very first visit to Perth. We decided to book a smart hotel for our first night after travelling around NZ for a few weeks. We arrived at the hotel around 9 ish at night following a flight delay so very tired. Check in at reception was uncomplicated and the room was as expected for a smart chain hotel. However there was no information in the room regarding hotel facilities, wifi or eating options etc. we thought it might be on the TV system but the screen told us we hadn’t yet booked into the room so couldn’t access the TV! We called to the concierge and a lady gave information on how to get wifi but this didn’t work. A short while later we received a phone call giving the correct information (so they clearly knew we’d been misinformed) we explained our inability to access the TV and were told it would be working in a few minutes however it never was working so we had no idea what this hotel had to offer! We set the alarm to rise early and depart to find breakfast in town and pick up our hire car ahead of schedule . The lady on reception next morning was very nice and apologetic which was good but didn’t really help our experience from the previous evening. The valet gentleman who assisted when we were loading our cases into the car was wonderful. I don’t know how it came about but we discovered he is of Ethiopian origin and I spent 13 years running a NGO healthcare project in Ethiopia so we were able to share the joy of lovely Ethiopia and its culture! However in general a disappointing stay for what should have been a positive experience from a market leader of the hotel chain business.

I’ve waited a few weeks before writing my review of this hotel. Primarily because I was giving the hotel managers a chance to follow up on an incident I reported to them. Sadly I have had no email, no call, nothing which is not surprising as I felt the response I had was poor at the time. Our stay was a stay of two very different experiences. At first all was great. Easy check in, lovely room and the hotel was in a great location. Unfortunately on our third night things changed. We returned to the hotel after an evening out to find our room had been serviced. The next morning when I went to put on my perfume it was missing. It was an expensive perfume which I’d left in the bathroom. My husband and I checked everywhere for it but we couldn’t find it. I know exactly where I left it and am 100% sure on that. Therefore I reported it to the on duty manager who informed me they would check with housekeeping and get back to me. That evening we asked and were told that there wasn’t not enough time to check yet. Next morning they needed to contact the laundry service to ask them and we would be contacted but we were leaving that day. Now 4 weeks on and still no word. I’m so disappointed as I feel the management didn’t really care and it left a very bad taste in my mouth to think that someone was in our room and took it. We won’t be back.

booked a room as we were having a one day meeting there. The place was a zoo walking in. They had my name wrong. they said they were going to upgrade me but put me in a accessible room. I went back down stairs and they placed me room that was obviously set up for someone else. I had asked for a feather free room and they basically just dropped a couple pillows and a blanket in my room. had to make my own bed. The room is not set up for business travelers, there is no desk just a sofa and a coffee table. Also the coffee table was not cleaned. there were several coffee cup marks on the table. On a positive note.. the AC cranked! Not sure I will stay here again. Think I will go back to the Westin.

Excellent stay in the Club Lounge with superb food and service. Nina runs a great hospitality lounge and all the staff are friendly and courteous a credit to Pan Pacific. The rooms are large with great bathrooms and lovely products Jo loves… Ideal location for the river. Would definitely stay again
