Philadelphia has an old-world charm, yet there’s nothing old-fashioned about our hotel’s stunning guestrooms. That’s because they’re sleek and modern without ever feeling cold.

Positives: Good beds, good location. Cons: Massive outdoor ventilation fans or something cause constant hum (even on 26th floor) so there is a constant noise even at night. Cleaners are rude and might come or might not one multi-day stays. They forgot to fill the coffee capsules so had to contact reception to get some. The bath drain was blocked, informed the front desk as it meant showering in 15 inch puddle. Nothing happened. Capsule coffee maker great, except not branded and not even a quick manual for it. Small complimentary water bottles 8USD each. Thinnest toilet paper I have ever seen. Four stars? Not quite.

Absolutely loved my time at Loews. Beautiful rooms, with so much attention to detail. An amazing gym and spa with sauna, steam room, and all the other little amenities you could ask for. Front desk and concierge above and beyond hospitable. Location--so close to the Convention Center, restaurants on 13th Street, and a little Catholic Church around the corner. This was my first time staying here, but it won't be my last. Thanks, Loews, for making my conference travel so very, very delightful! Fan for life!!

We stayed here for our son’s chess tournament and enjoyed our weekend. Nice clean rooms, great spa, and central location. Just be patient as the elevators are on the slow side. Federal Donuts is right across the street and Reading Terminal’s a short 2 minute walk.

Long wait lines to check in. Toilet didn’t flush so they had to fix it when I was away, which I also had to wait in line for to tell the front desk. Elevators slow. The building (doors, walls, etc.), are squeaking like heck so if you’re a light sleeper you won’t get any sleep - although it was windy when I stayed there and the building is old, built in 1932 I think.

Looks nice, but there are problems. Some of the furniture is worn down. Elevators are slow. They charge for the coffee in the room, which they didn't tell me about until afterward. The hotel's old--it was apparently built in 1932. It seems to be mainly a business hotel.
