Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix

I ended up at the Kimpton very last minute due to a fire at the Hyatt Regency. I had just checked in to the Hyatt when the emergency alarms went off and guests were asked to evacuate. It was later in the evening and, not knowing how long it would be before given the clearance from the fire department to return, I opted to go to the Kimpton instead. The service here was great! Even though it was a last minute reservation check-in was super smooth and I was in my room in no time. I have always enjoyed Kimpton hotels, but do feel the brand has lots some of its polish from pre-IHG days. This hotel sort of exemplifies that a little. It's nothing major or off-putting, but some of the small things from the Kimpton era I do miss. I also found my room in a bit of a shabby state, particularly in the bqthroom around the sliding door. The molding had some moisture damage, made worse no doubt by the lack of shower door. But, at the end of it, I had a decent night's sleep and was grateful I didn't wait around for the Hyatt situation to get resolved. There are a couple of other hotels I might prefer in downtown Phoenix, but I would by no means avoid the Kimpton. And AD is amazing! So helpful.

Excellent service! Very modern accommodations. Great location! Appreciate the infused water in the lobby especially on a 110 degree day.

The valet service is beyond fantastic. We ordered an uber that didn’t know where to pick us up and when they finally arrived the vehicle was too small to fit our party. AD who works in valet took control of the situation and ordered us a great ride and covered the cost to drive 6 of us to the airport! I have never experienced this kind of service - above and beyond! The hotel is clean and always has fresh spa water available for guests plus a great complimentary coffee bar every morning.

Nothing but great things to say about the stay. The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, and went out of their way to help. Special shout outs to AD, Drake, Dylan, Daniel, Donna and Angelica. (And my apologies if I forgot anybody! The entire staff was awesome.)

First timers at Kimpton of Palomar and was blown away by the level of service and cleanliness throughout the establishment. Mike (Valet), AD (Valet), Zelalum (Front Desk) and Dolores (Housekeeping) were all very accommodating throughout the duration of our stay. Extra plus, hotel is very pet friendly, our fur baby was greeted and treated like any other guest. We often stay downtown for events and we found our go to hotel. Thank you for such a great experience and stay, 10/10 highly recommend!
