Reviews for Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort

We love Tapatio

We love Hilton Tapatio! We are a couple in our 20’s and always stay at Hilton Tapatio. There’s a great workout room and the golf is amazing. Restaurants on site, Starbucks cafe in the lobby and it’s quieter during the week days. The resort has everything you need for a vacay in Arizona. We love the pool options, main pool has a great cafe and the adult pool is nice in the afternoon for drinks and relaxation. Theres a lot of reviews on here saying “don’t stay here” but I really don’t understand that! There’s a ton of rooms and buildings so it’s important to get a good room - our fav room is 6222 in building 26. We utilize the golf cart transportation because it’s up the mountain a little but the evening views are so worth it. Try to get a corner room on the 2nd floor so you get the lofted ceilings. Robbie at the front desk will help you out with anything. He's the best. Affordable resort in Phoenix and only a 2 hour drive from Sedona + a 30 min drive to downtown Scottsdale! We usually rent a car but you could opt to Uber. Enjoy your stay!!

Worst customer service experience ever

The AC in my room was not working. Called 3 times over course of 6 hours for assistance and each time I was told it would be fixed and it wasn’t. Finally at 3:30 in the morning I couldn’t take it anymore so I called to see if I could change rooms and Joanna told me there were no empty rooms and I couldn’t. So I asked if someone could check the ac and I was told “it’s 3:30 in the morning what do you want me to do?” I called again and spoke to Machay? and was told there actually were empty rooms but it would be “ as far away as possible” and the “cheapest possible room”. When I asked how to spell her name she said “you can figure it out”. I finally got to my new room it was close and exactly the same. They said this just to avoid helping. The representatives that work here went out of their way to rude, demeaning and escalate the situation as much as possible. The situation was ultimately resolved, but it was only because I pressed and insisted on being moved. I hope that management takes this seriously because no one should be treated that way.

Great experience

Robbie at the lobby was great!! He was so accomodating and friendly. The resort has 7 pools, one of which is adult only. Great drinks. An amazing restaurant with the best views of Phoenix. And the food was incredible. A lot of amenities! We will definitely be back !!

Excellent!!

Our family really enjoyed this resort. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was excellent with lots of choices for carnivore diet but you will find it hard to stick to seeing there are so many options. The resort was kept up very well, clean and in good repair. Parking wasn’t too bad when you figured the place out. To find our room we got a good tour as we drove around in this beautiful multilevel maze. Hint; know the name of your building and then read the signs. It’s easy, but we didn’t mind getting oriented. For sure take the trail that leads out from the pool and under the Street to the desert trails if you like to walk, There is a visitors centre to get water but bring water if it’s going to be hot. Swimming was great, with not a lot of people. It felt like we had the pool mostly to ourselves as there are so many areas that you can be pretty private. We never made it to the fancy restaurant on the top as we didn’t book in time. Hint: book as soon as you get there as it books up days in advance. Pickleball was great! The shop is very accommodating in lending out the rackets and balls. Room was great with pocket and regular door with bathroom in between. Toilet and shower are across hall from mirrored area with sink. Overall excellent and would stay again.

Okay, not a place we’d choose again

This hotel looked dingy and dated. The beds were very comfortable however. It smelled musty. We got upgraded to a suite, which the space was nice. Our bathroom had two shampoos and no body wash, so we went out and bought body wash. Easy to get lost there. The site is a maze and parking is not so easy. Not a place we would stay at again.
