A destination of casual elegance, the Thai island of Phuket has long been a playground for lovers of sun, sand and surf. It's also home to Amanpuri, the flagship property of Aman Resorts' collection. Tucked into a lush estate on the island's west coast, the resort features pavilion accommodations and villa homes that reflect this Thai island's style. Private outdoor terraces and pools are complemented by dramatic views of the Andaman Sea from this secluded headland location.

We have stayed in five star hotels all over the world. The Aman in Phuket is truly exceptional. The hotel is almost 40 years old, but in immaculate condition. The staff is friendly and professional. From the moment we were met at the airport until we left, everything was perfect. Our room was serviced multiple times a day. The food at the resort is exceptional. The beach, pools, gym, spa, everything was just perfect. I have very high expectations at this price point. My expectations were exceeded. We had a problem with the AC in our room. It was handled immediately. A manager was involved. He apologized for the inconvenience. It is not the easiest place to get too, but it is well worth the time to go, as it is truly a bucket list place.

45 mins to get here from the Airport. Stayed for 4 nights, I think it's enough for chilling and enjoying the Resort. We booked last minute so the room that we got is a partial ocean pool pavilion, If you can get the deluxe pool ocean or premium pool ocean it's better I think :) And partial pool ocean still has a nice room, nice view, and nice sunset too. In this resort you might see a lot of squirrels, birds, lizards, even I saw a baby snake, it's soooo natural love it. This is my 4th times visited Aman group resort, and I think I can count Amanpuri is one of the nicest. No need to mention the services, we know Aman service always above than average. I like how they do the turn down service too, very neat. Amanpuri has three Restaurant for dinner, Japanese, Italian, and Thai Restaurant all of them was worth to try, all of The Restaurant is in the corner of the pool, the iconic pool of course :) and the sunset view if you decide to do sunset dinner in a good weather it would be really nice. And for the lunch, they also have restaurant with beach view which is also nice. Talking about the beach, I think Amanpuri has one of the nicest beach in phuket, it's chill, less people, quite. You can chill at the beach they'll prepare your daybed and it's your call either you wanna be in shade or just under the sun they'll do the setting for you :) When I was there, sunset was breathtaking, it's perfect. Overall, yes I love Amanpuri, if you're looking for a quite chill luxury place in Phuket, I recommend this place.

Amanpuri is a truly magical place. We’ve just returned from 8 days at this wonderful hotel and can’t find any fault to mention. The location is amazing. There are two glorious beach areas (one quiet, the other intended more for families). A special mention to the beach team who bring iced water and move the shades as the sun travels across the sky. The main pool area is also a great place to relax. Like all Aman hotels, the place never feels busy and sun loungers are always available. Food at Amanpuri is exceptional. There are three main restaurants offering excellent Thai, Italian and Japanese options, with two further lunch venues. There’s also a fantastic cocktail bar with amazing views of the sunset (and a great selection of Negronis). What really makes Amanpuri special is the people. All of the staff are, without exception, friendly, polite and professional. It’s harsh to pick out a few but Anto, Thomas and Luck are amazing ambassadors for the hotel and Aman more generally. Villas are spacious. We were lucky to have a great private pool and a beautiful view over the grounds towards the ocean. Amanpuri is a truly great place. We can’t wait to return.

Amanpuri is a great hotel but the brand and price point command very high expectations. We have stayed at 6 Aman properties around the world as well as many Ritz Reserves so that is the lens by which we judge the hotel. Plusses: 1. Beautiful property with well appointed rooms 2. Food was generally very tasty 3. Spa treatments were good 4. Staff were generally responsive and very friendly, in particular the restaurant wait staff. Our driver from the airport was also great and went out of his way to find a place where we could buy fruit. 5. Lucky a server in the restaurant went the extra mile and brought some green mangoes from her own garden and home made shrimp paste that my wife was craving. 6. Room service was very fast Areas needing work: 1. Central reservations are not great. They failed to connect us with anyone to plan our trip itinerary after booking outside of getting flight information. We were arriving in the morning and they tried to hard upsell us on booking an extra night which left a bad taste 2. There’s not much to do. We did a blessing at a temple which was nice though the temple very basic and visited the elephant sanctuary. 3. I asked for some specific fruit that my wife was craving. Initially they said they could get it but there would be an extra charge which i agreed to despite feeling when you are spending $2500 per night customising a fruit bowl should not be something ai am charged for. Ultimately they said they could only get one of the requested fruits and did not follow through.

One of the best resorts, amazing service beautiful terrain and the best beach in Phuket. As soon as u enter the property you will see one of the best landscaping every step of the way. We’ve been welcomed by the lovely hotel manager, my daughter was not feeling well so they took care of her immediately as soon as we stepped foot at the resort. Our room was not ready since we arrived very early in the morning so they managed to give us a room to relax in until our room was ready. Our pool pavilion villa was on the top surrounded by this beautiful landscape, however I must say the rooms are outdated and I feel it’s time for an immediate renovation. But it was still beautiful and very clean. The beach is for sure the best beach in Phuket. The service was excellent. My daughter loved the kids club, it had a lot to offer from rock climbing to jasmine bracelet making to many activities for children and kids of all age. We also managed to dine in all the restaurants, which were all excellent. I would definitely return back with my family.
