The creative designs of the four styles of villas at the brand new Keemala represent ancient mythical settlers in Phuket. Connected by a lush jungle path and cascading streams, the villas feature intricate wood-carved furnishings, oversized beds with canopies and private pools. Keemala’s Executive Chef and gastronomy team preside over four dining venues, including poolside and in the wine cellar. Eight private rooms at the spa feature traditional holistic healing techniques, like massages using soaked warmed seaweed and herbs.

Our honeymoon at Kemala was pure magic. From the serene yoga sessions that began lifts my day to the profoundly relaxing Thai massages, every moment was designed for bliss. The culinary offerings were a highlight, with each dish a delicious exploration of local and international flavors. A special mention must go to Mai. Her impeccable service was the heart of our experience. Anticipatory, warm, and incredibly helpful, she arranged every detail flawlessly, ensuring our four-night stay was perfectly seamless and utterly romantic. Kemala is a sanctuary, made unforgettable by its people. We cannot wait to return <3.

We were a family of 4 adults and 5 children ranging from age 11-14 years who had the great opportunity to take part of the sensational cooking class at Keemala. We were very impressed on how the staff engaged with the kids and the overall experience. The staff took time, picked fresh ingredients from their garden with the children and were extremely patient and polite. The cooking class was really a highlight of our trip in Thailand and we are still talking about it. Of course our meals were phenomenal and we learned a lot about Thai cooking. Worth every penny and I highly recommend the class.

The property is overall absolutely stunning but does have some issues to consider. We stayed in a clay cottage for 3 nights. The room itself is beautiful and kept very clean. The only downside is that it doesn’t really have a seating area usable when raining. Inside is just the bedroom so not really an area to be able to sit and relax. The roof doesn’t cover the outside loungers so they get soaked in the rain. We decided to head to the bar for a drink. The bar team make really great drinks but the indoor area is just a handful of bar stools at the bar. It is at risk of being a bit soulless. All other space is outside so can’t be used when it’s raining. We ate in the restaurant in one of the nights. Food and service is very nice. I would probably only dine once in the trip though. Sadly I wouldn’t stay again for the following two reasons. We used the main pool each day as our pool in the cottage was very chilly. Each day we had lots of screaming children. The pool area is relatively small so can’t be avoided. I really do think the hotel should be adults only. It’s not the relaxing wellness retreat you’d be looking for at the price point they charge per room. The other reason is smoking. With the pool area being so small I really do think it should be non smoking. Each day various people would smoke at the swim up bar or on sun loungers. This isn’t nice for any non smokers. I also think it feels unhygienic for people to be allowed to smoke so close to a food prep area (at the swim up bar) Overall it was a nice stay but I wouldn’t stay again.

Amazing stay! The swimming pool is the best I’ve ever been in my life. Special thanks to Ms. Yeam for her outstanding help during our stay. Highly recommended!
